Hockey semi-finals:

Russia v Finland
Sweden v Czech Republic

Russia beat Canada 2-0! USA lost to Finland! I would like to see Finland win now :D

Who can you see winning? For me it's Russia v Sweden/Czechs. To hard to call. My bets are on Russia.

The 20th Winter Olympics has officially ended in Turin, Italy. The final medal(s) at Torino 2006 were won by the Swedish (Ice) Hockey team, who beat Finland 3-2.

The Czech Republic (in white) grabbed the Bronze Medal.

Switzerland didn't do that bad either. In fact the NHL.com website agrees, and here's an article. Great performance from the Swiss. What happened to Canada and the USA?!

"NHL.com"

Finns dominate all-star team -- Not surprisingly, Finns took four of the six places on the Olympic All-Star Team in balloting among media members.

Goalie Antero Niittymaki, defenseman Kimmo Timonen and forwards Teemu Selanne and Saku Koivu were joined by Sweden's Nicklas Lidstrom and Russian forward Alexander Ovechkin.

The tournament directorate best player awards went to Niittymaki as top goalie, Sweden's Kenny Jonsson as top defenseman, Selanne as best forward. Niittymaki was named the tournament's most valuable player.

The Winter Olympics next comes around in 2010 with the city of Vancouver (Canada) hosting it :) But before that, we have the Summer Olympics in Beijing, China in 2008. But before that!, we have the Commonwealth Games - which start in March in Melbourne, Australia.

I watched the first half (40 mins) of the game, It's very, very repetative and not a sport I'd really like to take interest in.

But congrats to the Swedes anyway
