USA 0 Czech Republic 3

The Czech Republic started their Germany 2006 campaign in style with a 3-0 win over the USA in Gelsenkirchen on Monday, 12 June 2006.
Jan Koller gave the Czechs a dream start in the opening match in Group E by heading them in front after five minutes and Tomas Rosicky doubled their advantage with a superb swerving strike in nine minutes before the break.

Despite the setback of losing Koller to a hamstring injury, Karel Bruckner's men retained their grip on the game and Rosicky sealed the three points with his second goal on 76 minutes.

In the other match played today, Australia came from behind to beat Japan 3-1. The Final match tonight is Italy v Ghana, kicking off at 8pm BST.

italy 2 0 ghana.

ghana did well in my opinion , better than angola definitely. they controled the ball well and like iran yesterday , they were more of a physical side - which is good. they really did have a chance , i believe they'll leave with a win with this kind of performance :D

Angola against Portugal? Portugal were going soft on them , in the opening 12 seconds , i thought it would be a blow out. The only players that did well were Joao Ricardo , Mendonca , and Figuredo. Mendonca really did well

So today Ecuador, Germany and England have qualified for the Second Round. England have just beaten Trinidad & Tobago 2-0 - but were made to work hard for the win. A header from Crouch and a smashing goal from Gerrard won it for England.

The Final game tonight is Sweden v Paraguay at the Olympiastadion, Berlin.

Current Group B Table

1) Posted Image England - 2 played - 6 points
2) Posted Image Sweden - 1 played - 1 point
----------------------------------------------------------
3) Posted Image Trinidad & Tobago - 2 played - 1 point
4) Posted Image Paraguay - 1 played - 0 points

I got in class , saw the score was 0-0 at the 82nd minute - then the 83rd crouch scores , surely did his robot :/ then another goal. If trinidad had kept their cool they wouldve landed themselves another historic draw , now they gotta go all out against Paraguay and hope England beat Sweden because right now it looks good for T+T, they could make history here and go on through.

Sweden 1-0 Paraguay

Before Ljungberg score , i thought Sweden were gonna go without goal in the tournament! Simply because:

They couldnt score against T+T

It didnt look like they were gonna score against Paraguay , missing a couple of good chances especially Allback's weak chip over Bobodilla and he ran slowly to get it , the other defender knocked it away , Ibrahimovic wouldve put that in :/ .
And I thought (before the goal) that if Sweden couldnt score against T+T or Paraguay then how could they get past England lol
