My reasoning for the Lions passing on Brady Quinn is that they are most likely to be weary of taking a QB that high in the draft, as their last experience of that was with Joey Harrington, and we know what happened there. Joe Thomas would be an excellent pick as they are a bit weak at Tackle and in my eyes, is the best Offensive Lineman to come out of College since Orlando Pace. We can't rule out Calvin Johnson either as Matt Millen is famous for being WR happy when it comes to the first round. The John Kitna statement I feel though is a little stupid as staticistically, he has been their best performing QB since Charlie Batch in '99. |

I hope the Patriots pick up a couple of LBs in the draft. I'm assuming they will as Bruschi and co. are old and won't last forever. |

Josh McCown is one of the most vastly underrated QB's in the league and was very good when he started for the Cardinals. One thing you have to remember though is that Mike Martz is their Offensive Co-Ordinator, who in my view is one of the best offensive minds in the league and is credited with the development of Trent Green, Kurt Warner, Marc Bulger & The greatest show on turf. I'll be revising the Mock Draft today. |

Simply is where an a certain amount of draft prospects are invited to do workouts/measurements to give scouts and teams more of an idea of a player. Some elite prospects don't usually do workouts/drills as a bad showing could propel them down draft boards and effectively can lose them millions of dollars on their contract. |

Oh. So what do the elite prospect players do if they don't go to the workouts/measurements? Can they still get into 'the big time' and stay towards the top of the Draft? |

Yes, but they then use their college's "pro day" as their combine. 90% of the time when a player doesn't do drills is because their injured (WR Dwayne Jarrett for example), but they still take measurements if they don't do drill (as QB's JaMarcus Russell & Brady Quinn did) |
