I agree with the commentators when they said the substitutions from Domenech counted (he brought in Benzema in 57th, then Gignac in the 69th - making it 4 attackers). We dominated this match again but we have to make use of the chances! Thank god for Gignac and his pass to Ribery or else we never would've found the net :|
So you agree that Domenech played a role in the win, but then you say:

But indeed, Domenech's influence has weakened us greatly.

He's weakened France greatly but he played a defining role in the win over Lithuania? Make your mind up :neured:

Lee Vilenski - No they're not. If you saw the game and England's matches under Capello, you'll realise that England have improved and it's now a case of when England will qualify for the World Cup, and not if. Ukraine are a decent side, they were even at the World Cup in 2006. Croatia are a tough side as we all know, and England are ahead of them in the group. If you're thinking about the defeats to France and Spain, they were only friendlies. France was done at the start of Capello's reign when he was just getting used to the players (his second match ever with England after the Switzerland game, I believe? Maybe wrong though) and the Spain game was played without key players. England managed to beat Germany AWAY without their best players!

To sum up, England are not "shit". :|

Oh by the way guys, did you hear about Bolivia 6 Argentina 1?!

I still don't like Domenech and I still think he has weakened our side. Ofcourse, those substitutions made the difference in the match - no one can possibly disagree with that, you'd be a retard to do so. But that doesn't mean I'm going to change my opinion of him in a split second because he has weakened our side with his influence and you know it. You've heard me say on more than one occasion that he has a tactical problem and he's mental. He played a more defensive formation against a side that is weak upfront - you've got to be joking. He could've played with 2 upfront atleast.

Does he still pick his line-up based on the stars (as in the ones in the sky :| ) or has he given up on that? :|

Well he still doesn't pick Trezeguet so I'm sure something went wrong up there :|

I wouldn't be surprised if he still does to be honest but I doubt it after all the criticism he has received from it  Imagine a photographer sneaking into his backyard and catching photos of him holding his player list in one hand while looking through a telescope :|

North Korea protested to world governing body FIFA on Sunday that they were the victims of a South Korean plot which caused them to lose a World Cup qualifier 1-0 to their rivals in Seoul last week.

The North Korean FA said in a statement that their players' food had been tampered with and that the referee was biased.

"The match thus turned into a theatre of plot-breeding and swindling," the statement said.

"It is as clear as noonday that it was a product of (South Korean President) Lee Myung-bak group's moves for confrontation with the DPRK (North Korea) and a deliberate behaviour bred by the unsavoury forces instigated by it."

The statement said FIFA should "examine the whole process of the match and take appropriate measures" and called on South Korean authorities "to own full responsibility for such serious incidents and promptly make an apology".

No one from FIFA was immediately available to comment.

The North Korean statement said key players had suffered vomiting, diarrhoea and headaches the night before the match.

"It can be said that it was beyond all doubt that the incident was a product of a deliberate act perpetrated by adulterated foodstuff as they could not get up all of a sudden just before the match," it said.

They also accused Omani referee Abdullah al-Hilali of denying them an early goal which they say should have stood.

South Korea won the game with a late goal from Kim Chi-woo. The victory lifted them into first place in the group with 11 points from five matches, ahead of North Korea and Saudi Arabia who both have 10 points from six matches.

The top two in the group will qualify for the next year's World Cup finals in South Africa, while the third-placed team will try to advance through playoffs.

South Korea are bidding to reach their seventh successive finals, while North Korea have made the finals only once, in England in 1966.

Qualifiers are back on this weekend following the end of the domestic season. England have travelled to Kazakhstan - a 7-8,000 mile round trip (get my excuse in early eh  ), before coming back to play Andorra at Wembley in the week.

I was reading a blog on BBC Sport and Graham Taylor was saying it was good organisation from the FA to organise the Kazakhstan match at the end of the season and then face easy opposition when they return - I agree! If this Kazakhstan trip was during the season then clubs would have complained so much!

4-0 win over Kazakhstan, I'll take that. Apparently it wasn't a good performance, but it's 3 points...
