4-0, what a win for Norway  How do you feel, Cammy :| I suppose you don't care :neulol:

Scotland were crap, especially after the sending off.

France 1-0 Feroe Islands - thank god for Gignac or else the draw would've been embarrassing.

Cammy must be crying in his sleep after that

Greece won't qualify because our coach still keeps choosing shit players. I guess much cock-sucking in the changing rooms is the reason because even a newb coach wouldn't call those players... Anyway we will get ass handed by Switzerland and won't qualify despite being in one of the easiest groups possible :(

France squad announced yesterday for the matches against Romania and Serbia (September 5th and 9th):

Quote:

La liste des 23 :
Gardiens : C. Carrasso (Bordeaux), Lloris (Lyon), Mandanda (Marseille).

Défenseurs : Abidal (FC Barcelone, ESP), Clichy (Arsenal, ANG), Escudé (FC Séville, ESP), Evra (Manchester United, ANG), Fanni (Rennes), Gallas (Arsenal, ANG), Sagna (Arsenal, ANG), Squillaci (FC Séville, ANG).

Milieux : A. Diarra (Bordeaux), L. Diarra (Real Madrid, ESP), Gourcuff (Bordeaux), Malouda (Chelsea, ANG), Ribéry (Bayern Munich, ALL), Diaby (Arsenal, ANG), Toulalan (Lyon).

Attaquants : Anelka (Chelsea, ANG), Benzema (Real Madrid, ESP), Gignac (Toulouse), Henry (FC Barcelone, ESP), Rémy (Nice).

No real surprises, just the returns of Clichy and Diaby. Diaby is actually being seen as a successor to Viera (who wasn't included), interesting

That squad looks decent all round. They should beat Romania and Serbia but you never know with Domenech :neulol:

Diaby's impressed me this season. Has he played much for France? Haven't heard much about him regarding that. I probably never noticed until now

Last time he played was back in 2007 I think :| I'd like to see him make an appearance instead of having Toualan, the idiot. The thing with Domenech is that he'll use two defensive-middies all the time (Lassana Diarra and Toualan), when he only needs one. If we get a draw in one of these matches, I won't be surprised. After the Feroe Islands, it makes you wonder where we'll get the goals from.

The World Cup qualifiers are back.

Argentina v Brazil is surely the highlight. Chile - currently in second place in South America's qualifying table - face Venezuela. Matches of interest to TC2ers this weekend are Russia v Liechtenstein, Denmark v Portugal (Portugal struggling at the moment remember), Switzerland v Greece (big game at the top of that group), Poland v Northern Ireland and Croatia v Belarus.

There are friendlies going on too, such as England v Slovenia (use the Football Pub for that, Dyer and Ligue  ), and then more qualifiers on Wednesday. England v Croatia is then...

Our match against Romania is not a friendly :|

Lloris has been labeled as incertain for tomorrow, we could see Mandanda's return in goal. I look forward to watching it

Northern Ireland just got a point away to Poland! 1-1! They're second with 14 points but have played a game more than Poland, who have 11 points and are in third place. Second place is great for Northern Ireland, good luck to them!

Were you at Hampden or did you watch it on TV?

I heard Scott Brown was involved in some gamesmanship incident. Apparently he didn't give the ball back to the Macedonians and then got a corner by kicking the ball at a Macedonian player, right?

What do you think about Burley now then? Didn't you say you didn't care about Scotland? :|

Good news for you though, if you do care  - Norway are only drawing 1-1 with Iceland with five minutes left...

Watched it on Tele.

What happened, was Brown was going to kick the ball out for a Macedonia throw in, but the guy infront of him wouldn't move out of the way. So he just kicked the ball off him and it went oout for a corner. Not that it came to anything

I have never rated the guy before, never liked him, never will. It will be good to see if they go to the WC though. Gives me something to watch next summer
