Some team around us has to lose their last two games. We have none games left.

Sweden has yet to play Albania at home so they are through. And if they don't claim it, then Portugal will. Ireland is our biggest hope I think.

I can't believe how badly Argentina are doing. Paraguay aren't bad in South America but I didn't expect them to beat Argentina 1-0. Maradona's lot slip down to 5th place :o I don't know whether to laugh or be gutted that we may not be seeing these world class players at a World Cup...

That Bahrain-Saudi Arabia match sounded crazy - ZZ liked it anyway  Bahrain or New Zealand at the World Cup then. I like to see new teams at the World Cup, but Bahrain or New Zealand won't be causing any shocks if they get there

The qualifying in Europe is wack. Teams like Slovakia, Slovenia, Bosnia & Herzegovina are doing while Portugal (moved up a place after a 1-0 win over Hungary though), Poland, Czech Republic, Ukraine and Turkey could/will lose out.

African update: Cameroon beat Gabon 2-1. The group is tight - Cameroon, Gabon, Togo or Morocco could qualify from Group A.

Looks like we could have a World Cup with the likes of Slovakia and North Korea and without Argentina and Portugal...

First of all, Iraq won't be there, and secondly, North and South Korea can't be in the same group. :|

I see what you're doing though. :neulol: USA v North Korea would be great. I'm hoping for England v Australia too!

Portugal? I hope this is one of your sarcastic moments :|
Not really. My england history isn't that good, but I'm almost certain they have knocked us out of two straight tournaments before the last Euros. Both times on Pens, unless I am mistaken.

That will be used for propaganda definitely :neulol:

Burley is staying as Scotland manager, Cammy. Thoughts? Maybe it's right they don't sack him as they need some stability and don't need to keep changing the managers around, but he didn't do that well really. If he fails again though, no doubt he'll be gone.

Scotland are an ordinary side and they currently have an ordinary manager. They need a much more better manager imo if they want to punch above their weight so to speak :)

They shouldn't have let McLeish go. From Scotland to Birmingham, how retarded - clearly for the money.

FRANCE squad for the matches against the Feroe Islands and Austria:

Quote:

La liste des joueurs retenus par Raymond Domenech :
GARDIENS : Carrasso (Bordeaux), Douchez (Rennes), Lloris (Lyon), Mandanda (Marseille).
DEFENSEURS : Abidal (Barcelone/ESP), Clichy (ArsenalANG), Escudé (Séville/ESP), Evra (Manchester United/ANG), Fanni (Rennes), Gallas (Arsenal/ANG), Sagna (Arsenal/ANG), Squillaci (Séville/ESP).
MILIEUX : Diaby (Arsenal/ANG), L. Diarra (Real Madrid/ESP), A. Diarra (Bordeaux), Malouda (Chelsea/ANG), Mou. Sissoko (Toulouse), Toulalan (Lyon), Ribéry (Bayern Munich/ALL).
ATTAQUANTS : Anelka (Chelsea/ANG), Benzema (Real Madrid/ESP), Gignac (Toulouse), Govou (Lyon), Henry (Barcelone/ESP).

Douchez has been included, but I highly doubt he'll play in any of these matches. We'll see though because knowing Domenech, anything is possible  Sissoko and Govou have also been included, no real changes besides that. We've gotta win these matches though, an absolute must at this point.

Dick Advocaat has also announced his squad ahead of his first matches with Belgium

Quote:

Le groupe belge :
Gardiens: Bailly (Borussia M'gladbach/ ALL), Gillet (Bari/ ITA), Stijnen (Bruges)
Défenseurs: Alderweireld (Ajax Amsterdam/ HOL), Deschacht (Anderlecht), Lombaerts (Zenit St Petersburg/ RUS), Swerts (AZ Alkmaar/ HOL), Van Buyten (Bayern Munich/ ALL), Vermaelen (Arsenal/ ANG)
Milieux: Carcela (Standard Liege), Fellaini (Everton/ ANG), Mudingayi (Bologne/ ITA), Vertonghen (Ajax Amsterdam/ HOL)
Attaquants: De Camargo (Standard Liege), Dembele (AZ Alkmaar/ HOL), De Sutter (Anderlecht), Hazard (Lille/ FRA), Lamah (Le Mans/ FRA), Mirallas (St Etienne/ FRA), Sonck (Bruges)

They don't have a bad squad at all, but they're always crap :| Let's see how they do with a new manager. They'll lose to Turkey most likely, but I can see them beating Estonia :neutie:

Capello has named the England squad, but Darren Bent wasn't included, even with Defoe injured! Agbonlahor and Crouch were called up :| Silly Capello :tsk:

No other big shocks.
