Dissapointing. Even though it was a broadcasted match at 8 it was still not dark in Trondheim. No need for the flom lights then Kjernen celebrated the good 3-1 win after four goals scored into the last 30 mins. The Lillestrøm match was the first under charge of Knut Tørum. After a great start, Rosenborg played Vålerenga six days later. Was the Tørum effect still there? Rosenborg 3-2 Vålerenga (2006): My grandparents and uncle went with me so we found some good seats in the upper stand where Kjernen will be in 2009. Good seats, indeed. The Byggern stand looks good from here. We had the next highest seats so we couldn't complain on the view. Vålerenga to meet the pride of Norway at their own home - Lerkendal. 25 People that would going to be loved and hated the next 90 minutes. Could have been more people to be honest. GOOOAL! Dorsin put Rosenborg 2-0 up just before half-time. Prove me wrong if you can. 69 Minutes and still 2-0. Vålerenga were going to score twice for the next ten mins. But Rosenborg scored the winner four mins from time! What a roar that was when Riseth dived and headed in 3-2. Amazing.

It's snow in Trondheim and the climate is cold. People who lives here have forgotten about Rosenborg and their terrible season in the league. The pride of the town's 90th season ended with a bad 5th place. The people in Trondheim are skiing, swimming or playing handball into halls at this time of the year. However, Rosenborg should play football at this day - and not a friendly - but the biggest match on a Norwegian ground since 1997. Rosenborg v Chelsea. A top match in the groupstage of the UEFA Champions League. I was there. The expecations were high after Rosenborg's two stunning wins over Valencia. But how would Rosenborg play one month after the end of their league? At the bus and the winter was getting mightier. This is at Hanestad, about 1 and a half hour from Elverum. The seats were empty so far, but there were many fans coming on later. My desktop Had to bring my laptop, but there was no internet. I arriaved at 6:30, about the same time as Chelsea. I promised Chris to get some good shots of the players, but I couldn't make it down to the player hall in time. Chelsea's bus coming closer... Many kids hoping for an autograph or two. I think that's Grant coming out of the bus. Had to wait for my uncle whos living in Trondheim. Meanwhile I got a shot of our beautiful stadium. Finally inside and I'll be ringside for the biggest match I've seen so far! Avram Grant greeting some old dude. The away fans's seats. All the Chelsea fans seemed to be Norwegians and Scandinavian's though. Carlos Cudicini, now keeper for Spurs. Chelsea were struggling to keep the temprature up in Norway... They did not underrate us either. Chelsea has lost two matches here earlier, latest in 2002 against Viking. Rosenborg's 1-1 result in London did not make the respect lower either. Drogba was going to be an important player tonight. Essien and Joe Cole... Earns twice as much as the entire Rosenborg team does pr. season. Many fans always shows up early for games like this. "The best team who has been at Lerkendal" according to Adressa. Bullshit. Arsenal has been here too. Cashley has been here before. Drew 1-1 with his Arsenal side in 2004. Drogba ready to play Rosenborg. A mighty circle of amazing footballers, just 20 meters away from me. What a weird feeling. Kjernen has been very up and down this season. Two wins against Valencia, but many defeats against crap sides from Norway Young boys and girls about to go out and lift the famous Champions League mark. Lerkendal ready... This is from the half time and Chelsea were 3-0 up... John Terry prepared for the last 45. Could Rosenborg do a comeback? No. 0-4 FTW.

two trophies, many runner-ups. Posts: 3,942 Group: Members Member #29 Joined: March 28, 2006	Right, finally got around to uploading my match photos from Europe. I went to four matches. First, is Hertha Berlin v Galatasaray, the UEFA Cup game in December. It was at the Olympiastadion in Berlin, Hitler's 1936 Olympic Stadium but also home of the 2006 WC Final. This is probably the best atmosphere I have experienced at a sports event. Because there are lots of Turks in Germany, the crowd was split 50-50 and the atmosphere was electric. I bought scalped tickets for 20 euros and was in the hertha section. Both the Hertha and the Gala fans were trading chants the whole night. It was amazing, I will never forget it. The only thing missing was a home goal, I can't imagine what it would have been like if that had of happened. The Match Australian Harry Kewell in there somewhere. I bought tickets through the Australian group the fanatics which has a deal with Fulham to sell tickets to Australians every home match. This time I was right up close to the action, 2nd row from the front. It was a dominant display by Fulham, winning 3-0 which was really cool.
