Haha, there was just a little place that sell hamburgers and stuff. I don't think there were any seats there either.

Aspmyra has 7,000 seats I guess. The main stand was behind us, so I didn't get a picture of it. They have to upgrade their stadium in the near future according to the FA and they probably will. In fact, if Norway and Sweden gets the 2016 UEFA Euro Championship, Bodø might get some games, which means they will have a 30,000 seater. I hope they won't tbh, cos that would be many empty seats after the tournament.

I always eat a meal there after matches. The public train leaves Bodø so late.

Aspmyra today hold 7400 in domestic matches and is three stars stadium.
But the capacity is reduced to 6400 when it's matches arranged(?) by UEFA.

And as Marius says, we are ready to build a new stadium that hold 30-35000 if Norway/Sweden will submit an application for EURO2016.
After the eventually EURO2016 the stadium will be reduced to 11-12000 seats.
If Norway/Sweden don't applicate for EURO2016, we will just upgrade todays Aspmyra to 11-12000 seats.

To be honest, I have difficult to see that the Bodø will be able to host EURO2016. Hotels is the biggest issue.
But if Bodø will become host city for EURO2016: :point:

SvFF and NFF will decide in January if they will submit an application.

EDIT:
Marius: Narvik is the northern point of all train grounds in Norway. So if you are traveling with train to Narvik by Ofotbanen, I think you have to switch train in Stockholm. :eek2: .
Bodø is the most northern point of NSB and Norwegian state owned railways.

So how will Bodø upgrade their stadium? It would looked better if you had a stand behind the goal where this Rema 1000 store is (or is it Rimi :| ). The main stand can be longer too.

Bodø is one of the biggest candidats for the 4th Norwegian spot btw. It's pretty clear that Oslo, Trondheim and Stavanger will have some, but I don't think Bergen can host it because Brann stadion can't be upgraded. So the 4th spot is open and there is no clear town that have to take it. And Bodø is a attractive town because UEFA want to have some distances between the arenas and also, it would be the first ever game to be hosted into the Artic Circle. And in June, there would be no need for flom lights either!

But as you pointed out, there are not so many hotels in Bodø. And Annas kjøkken need to work overtime when 30,000 Dutch and German fans are coming to town.

We all agree that the solution city council made in 2000 was terrible.
That time we had plans for demolishing NB the old stand and build a parallel with Diadora-stand, but the city council disagreed and turned it down because Bodø needed a running track(?) on X-number meters, so :|. Thats the story about that stand.

... And someone thought business premises(?) were going to become a great success, so they built it. Now they are building apartments on the roof :wall: ... Success is OK, but it's damn ugly.
So the new plan is building a cute little stand on same size as Toyota-stand with big screen and roof. Toyota is getting roof.

You can read more about the city map here for EURO2016. This is what Bodø have today:
http://www.ab24.no/files/documents/fotballem_ortofoto1912%5B1%5D.pdf (Sorry PDF)

Few other permanent plans:
+ Bodø Lufthavn's capacity is great. And planning as you may know a second runway thanks to the air force.
+ Berg-clan (Runar, Ørjan, Arild) wants to build a hotel, but it's a long time ago I've heard about it.
+ SAS Radisson extending.
+ People are getting more positive to high buildings, which provides more opportunities. ( :neuclap: . Just 15 years too late)

... But I want to see everything complete before I believe it.

Inside the arctic Circle? Damn. We have enough trouble when there is snow, and we have to use a different coloured football!

My dream is of course have a match at night. You can't see any difference between daylight and night up here in summer time. Which makes you really mad.

... The dream won't come true. :(

EDIT: When I was 11 years old I woke up one night, 8 o'clock after resting out. I got panic when I saw it and went at school.

HAHAHAHA! Must be a tough time living in Northern Norway in winter time :neulol:

Well, here are some other photos of matches I've been to:

Norway - Bosnia & Hercegovina 1-2 (2007)

Posted Image
The match was played in March, so it was very early for the poor pitch. Not the worst pitch I've seen, though.

A nice view over Ullevaal this Saturday night.

Suddenly I saw TV2's football studio just under me! If I wanted to, I could throw my mobile down at their table, in front of one million Norwegian TV watchers. Now, that would be legend! Also expensive, cos I would probably get a punishment :neured:

National anthems...

One minute into the game, Bosnian hooligans started their protest against the Bosnian FA, that was in the middle of a long corrput topic in these days. This picture is taken after 20 mins, and their pyro show was not over yet. The match was stoped for 45 minutes :x

I have a video of it too, I'll see if I can upload it later.

Here is the ten first minutes of their little show. The video shows how the TV watchers saw the pyro rain from the moment Norway takes kick-off. The first light hit the pitch after 40 seconds or something and then it began..

Norway-Bosnia 10 first mins

All the 40 minutes were actually covered by TV2 with commentators and everything :neulol:
