Rosenborg - Vålerenga 2-0 (2007):

Rosenborg - Schalke04 0-2 (2007)

Posted Image
One hour left to a new adventure... aaah...

Posted Image
All the tickets are sold for games like this.

Posted Image
Sorry for the bad quality, but I used my mobile for this.

Posted Image
21.000 fans showed their scarfs before the match. You cant see it clear here, but it was a beautiful view. And the club anhtem being singed at the same moment.... epic.

Posted Image
The match itself was not worthy of 12 hours in car, though.

Rosenborg - Odd Grenland 4-1 (2007):

Had a week off at school, so my cousin and I (both named Marius) went to see Rosenborg play Odd in a rainy Sunday afternoon. My uncle had free tickets as only 16k were sold, his company got free tickets. Niice. And, of-course, there were good seats.

Posted Image
Kick-off.

Posted Image
Kjernen ready for 90 minutes of joy.

Posted Image
A counter-attack in the second half. RBK made it 3-0 seconds after I took this picture! As you can see, there are many available seats, but many people chose to stand under the roof.

2008, and a new season is ready. The season were Rosenborg should revenge that crappy 2007 season. After beating Lyn 2-1 at home and lost 3-2 away to Godset, Fredrikstad visited Lerkendal for matchday 3 a Saturday night. Dahl was there.

Rosenborg 1-2 Fredrikstad (2008)

Posted Image
Warming up.

Posted Image
The match is sat in motion...

Posted Image
Fredrikstad got an early lead after Kasey Wehrman's penalty goal after 19 minutes. Kvarme was sent off after that too... :neured:

Posted Image
Many red fans took the trip to Trondheim this Saturday night.

Posted Image
Kone made it 1-1 and should have 2-1 too, but he missed the chance from the penalty spot. Instead, FFK made it 2-1 after a good counter attack.

Posted Image
20.000 dissapointed fans going home.

Posted Image
This is at McDonalds after the match. The man with the white cap is Michael Jamtfall, a young Rosenborg striker who has struggled with injuries lately. He has one goal in the Norwegian league and is still one of the better talents in the league. I got a picture with my mobile, but I had to hide it, cos I didn't want to be a typical teenager-mobile-get-pics-of-well-known-people-dude-crap.... :neured:

Wow, you saw a Rosenborg striker B)

I'm surprised he wasn't swarmed in that McDonalds. I guess Norweigans are used to being close to their fans

Yeah, it's diffirent here. Even Bruce Springsteen was chilling in Oslo once without being too annoyed by his fans here. We are more calm I guess :P

And it's Jamtfall, he has scored once in three seaons :| He is not Beckham.

A player in McDonalds  If that happened here, he'd be in the newspapers for eating unhealthily! :neured:

That Schalke night must have been great.

oooh, some extra pics to add that I totally forgot: Later on this evening I was on a partay - just outside Lerkendal! A dude I know in Trondheim turned 40 ( :|coffee ) so he had a big party in the Rams' house (an MC club from Trondheim) which is located at Lerkendal park. Well, I don't know any of his friends and they were all old and... yeah odd, so I went outdoor and Rosenborg's training pitch was open! It's not working like in England, were training grounds are closed etc, cos no-one would do anything bad to it. So I walked on the pitch and found a ball and played some football on my own. Had a few shots on the goal and stuff  I don't know if I was allowed to but who could control me :|

Posted Image
Rosenborg's club house. You can see some trophys in their cabinet in the background :neushades:

Posted Image
Their trainingground

Posted Image
The stadium lights was still on.

Too bad no-one saw me there, cos I rocked the pitch! Mainly because I was the only dude on it, but still.

Okey, next set of photos are from the relegated side, HamKam, Chris' Norwegian adoption club :neushades: Kamma plays their homegames just 20 mins from my place, so its kinda my local team.

Ham-Kam - Stabæk 0-2 (2008)

Posted Image
Ham-Kam is currently upgrading their stadium, Briskeby. Their new arena will not be that bad I suppose. Make notice of Winston Churchill's quote on the banner. Blood, swett and tears :|coffee

Posted Image
The upgrade of this stadium was not too early.... It's a shame that a top level club played here...

Posted Image
It's not Wembley this.

Posted Image
People coming to see HamKams tough match against the side who sent them down to 1st division with a 5-1 win in the last round of 2006.

Posted Image
TV2's football studio. Probably the worst quality in the league

Posted Image
Stabæk won 2-0 after two great goals by Daniel Nannskog.

Posted Image
Stabæk's fans put up a banner: "Remember, remember the 5th of November" Cheeky

Nannskog is very good, was the top scorer of 2006  I don't know why I talked to you about him, though. Maybe some pre-info about Stabæk before their match v Rennes

I bet they will. I suppose Kamma will be an up-and-down-team in the next years to come.

Now, 16th of May pictures. The national day of football. The Norwegian national day is the 17th, so therefore the 16th is a party day. Teenagers get drunk and it's traditionally a day where everyone are out. It's always a round in Tippeligaen and all teams are playing - often their main rivals as well. Aalesund-Molde, Tromsø-Bodø/Glimt... Brann-Vålerenga.

The traidition was found in Trondheim in 1981 by a coincidence. Rosenborg had a postponed match and played against Fredrikstad at the 16th. Many fans saw the match and thought this was a good day, and since then, it has always been a round at the 16th. And Rosenborg has a homegame every time. People keep complaining, but we formed this day :neushades:

For the first time in my life, I went up to Trondheim to see at 16th of May match. Rosenborg v Lillestrøm. Two rivals. Two big times, two great supporter clubs, two sides who had struggled a lot.

Posted Image
My bus arrived Lerkendal just 20 mins before the match, so I was very late. In matches like these, there is always a great row of people outside the entering hall too and they used ages to get them in. Some fans had fireworks so they had to be checked even more, some had gone to the wrong stand etc...

So I entered the stadium as the players walked on, and the main stand showed their nice tifo "Evig trofast" (Forever faithful). All the fans had flags and made a great atmosphere as well. I think it's nice with a matchday like this, but I wish we could see this more often.

Posted Image
Kjernen sold more tickets than they were allowed to, so fans like me, who were late, had to stand in the stairs. But fair enough imo, cos Lerkendal takes 22/23.000 people and at 16th of May they could sell over 30.000 tickets.

Posted Image
I didn't have the time to take pictures, cos it happend stuff all the time. We beat the scum 4-0!

And now to the dark side of the round. The Norwegian FA decided to move one of the games three days later, because TV2 wanted to show another match of the round. Their contract says that TV2 should be allowed to show three games pr round, which would be impossible unless they moved one match. However, this was highly unpopular, not only for HamKam and Strømsgodset who were the unlucky ones, but also for the rest of Norway. All the fans, Rosenborg and Lillestrøm included, had banners with sympati for HamKam and Godset, who lost their parties because of the idiots in TV2/FA.

I went to this postponed match (first time I have seen two games live from the same round  ), and it was a strange atmosphere. Most of Kammas fans chose not to come and the few ones who actually came was quiet to protest against the FA.

Posted Image
A strange banner from Godset's fans: Writing in English is OK. Writing in Norwegian is OK. But why did they mix the two languages? Cash is king, tradisjoner betyr ingenting. First of all, "Cash is king" sounds crappy. And why didn't they write "traiditions means nothing" when they absolutely had to write in English. Muppets.

Posted Image
10.000 seats wished the teams welcome to a match where the only thing you heared was people talking and the players screaming for each other. Things you normally hear on trainings. Hahaha.

Posted Image
Nye Briskeby was getting bigger too.

Posted Image
HamKam v Strømsgodset. One of the worst matches I've ever seen. The level on the play was equal with the sounds on the fans: Horrible. The match ended as a tie, 1-1 after two strange goals. Kamma scored from the midfield (!), directly from a freekick after a huge blooper by Espen Johnsen. Godset's equalaiser was as late as possible, in the 93rd minute. They were awarded a penalty for a tackle OUTSIDE the penalty area. Unlucky HamKam.

Posted Image
So right, so right.

TV2 + NFF = The death for the supporter culture.
