GWS is calling your name, Cammy Rugby Union: Six Nations Championship - England v Italy ![]() The start of Europe's Six Nations is here at the home of English rugby. England take on Italy... ![]() A few seconds after I took this picture, I saw the Italian team coach pass by, with a police escort. They didn't look happy ![]() ![]() Twickenham. A 80,000 seater stadium. Nice. You can see the Italians warming up on the left and England on the right. ![]() ![]() Royal Marines take the England flag down the ropes ![]() ![]() The national anthems are about to take place. That was the loudest the stadium ever got, all singing the national anthem. ![]() The game is underway. |

13th of July 2008. Rosenborg had just lost 2-1 to Kamma and wanted to revenge that in the UEFA Intertoto cup. A horrible 2007 resulted in a longer way to Europe for Rosenborg, who for the first time had to take part in UEFA's D-Day tournament. Therefore, this was the first ever Intertoto match at Lerkendal and I got to be a part of the historical view This edition of Intertoto was the last one as well.Rosenborg's opponents were Ekranas from Lithuania. We had a 3-1 lead before this match so the ones who entered Lerkendal this Saturday afternoon did not pay the ticket prize with nervousity. There are not many fans at games like this. An unknown team, a comfortable lead in a stupid tournament. I was in Trondheim, though, and I always try to see as many games as possible. And I like to see new teams for a change too. It's a European Cup after all! Also - who wouldn't like to see their team win by a great margin? My mother and I went to the match - which is very rarely. She likes Rosenborg, but she never goes to games. She had never seen Rosenborg win so she would like to get an end of that. ![]() Troillongen were there as always - faithful and happy. ![]() Number one, eh? I'd be a nervous man if I had him as goalie tbh. ![]() Fair weather at this July match. The skys covered the sun, but that's just a perfect weather for football. ![]() Not a sold out match this... Only 4.000 out of Lerkendal's 23.000 seats were sold out. ![]() Only the lower stands were in sale. ![]() Not the most dramatic first half I've seen. Didi Konan scored the only goal of the first half and celebrated with a weird dance just in front of where I sat. Epic. ![]() Players keeping warm for the second half. ![]() Had to test the zoom on my camera. Nordvik and some Ekranas player. ![]() Fredrik Stoor, who later on moved to Fulham. ![]() Some action. Make notice of the troll greeting a man/woman in the background. Haha. ![]() Nordvik again. I think he had a good match. ![]() Alexander Lund Hansen kept the zero. Not the hardest game to play, though - Ekranas did not have one shot on target! ![]() Ekranas had a throw-in, but Rosenborg kept pressuring for a new goal. ![]() Not the most interesting match I've seen, so I kept using my mobile camera. ![]() The fans did not bite their nails off - Rosenborg played on 50 % and won 4-0... ![]() Ultras Nidaros could have done better than Ekranas

Okey, here comes some snack from my most local team, Elverum's match against Norway's best team of 2008: Stabæk. This extra ordenary friendly might sound a little unrealistic, but it's actually true. To compare, it would have to be something like Leyton Orient v Manchester United Stabæk came with a great side too, with top scorer Nannskog and player of the year Alanzinho. Jon Knudsen (GK) and Pall Gunnarson missed out though because of EURO qualifiers. This match was fixed because of Vegar Eggen Hedenstad's move to Stabæk. In Norway, it's normal to pay the prize with a friendly instead of money. A friendly is a nice gift to the fans, and there will be more cash because of tickets etc. Also, the contract Elverum signed gives money for every time Hedenstad enters the pitch for Stabæk Hedenstad was born on the 26.06.1991, 22 days after me. He was doing many sports as a child, both handball and athletics, besides football. I think this combiantion is one of the reasons he got so skilled. Well, in an age of 12, in 2003, he had to choose one sport to develop into. He chose football because that was the sport he showed best results in. That was a smart choice. In 2005 he became a local champion with Elverum's U-13 team and in June 2006, in an age of 14, he came on for Elverum's A team in 3rd division. He did well and in August he played his first match from start. The top match against Eidsvoll was won 5-2 and Hedenstad scored his first goal for the club. My friends and I was there and we went crazy when he scored. It was a beauty as well! Maradona-ish. Hedenstad did well and after a year in Elverum he was targeted by many top clubs. Rosenborg invited him to Trondheim and offered him a contract and a school place. Also, he played for Rosenborg in a junior cup in Hamar in the summer of 2007. Rosenborg won the finale 4-0 in a match that was showed on live TV! Vegar was kinda weaker than the others so for his future, he had to move to a bigger club where he could grow. After Elverum's fail for promotion in 2007 he wanted to move. Since Kamma's B-team was on level with Elverum, he went to Stabæk, which is far more local than Rosenborg. Stabæk was a good choice though. Hedenstad came on three times in Tippeligaen 2008 and received a gold medal in his first season! October 2008. Hedenstad to play Elverum as a captain for Stabæk. The football fans in Elverum had to go to this match where everyone came to watch Elverum and Hedenstad Player of the year in 2008, Alanzinho, warming up with some tricks at the midfield. He moved to Trabzanspor after the season and he is skilled 80 on FIFA09. He was here in Elverum Alanzinho getting ready for warming up. You can see Hedenstad to the left in the background. The teams entered the pitch while AC/DC played "Hells Bells". Captain Hedenstad. All players ready for this legend match. In the half time there was a juggling contest where Alanzinho took part. Alanzinho got some challenge from the skilled kids! The contest finished when the match had to start up again. Alanzinho and these lads survived! Elverum started with a high pressure and they nearly scored in the opening minutes, after a great counter-attack. Stabæk were 1-0 up at half time after a penalty by Hedenstad. Stabæk didn't take any chances with injuries etc, so they played on 50% all the time. Alanzinho showed some skills and good passes, though and the homefans loved it. Too bad it was rainy! Elverum throw-in... The highlight of the match: Vegard Sandberg received a nice pass that opened Stabæk's defence after a quick taken freekick, ran into the box and made it 1-1. That must be the biggest roar I've heard in Elverum! Stabæk made it 2-1 50 seconds later though ![]() |
