Babis... in a cricket thread? Australia won't get revenge soon, England will win in Australia Andy Flower is a legend, coming in after the Moores debacle. Broad did the honours with the ball in this match with Trott batting excellently also. Perhaps we should thank Anderson and PANESAR in the First Test in Cardiff for their heroics

you all suck I shall still repeat this video from just before the ashes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9hzdceZ6Kyc so many things went wrong for Australia. Right from the first test, to poor selections, to the groundsman as Kev said..also massive red card to England's imports Though we never really imposed outselves with the bat throughout the whole series I thought the bowlers are Australia's weak point. None of them really inspire confidence and I'm hoping they unearth some new guys soon. You wait till you come here. will be revenge just like 06/07.

Oooooh now you're attacking English imports, I knew you'd have an excuse That video is quite funny actually ("More unusually for the Ashes, he [Warne] is spending time with his wife" and "I hope your security has better defences than your batsmen" ) but face it, Australia lost ![]() England's. ![]() Ponting goes back with scars and the first Australian captain this century to lose two test series in England

England will find it tough in Australia though - I can't see them winning that. Flintoff won't be there either. What do you think about Ponting, Hugh? I think he should still lead Australia - he's a great batsmen and a good leader, but some decisions were weird. Hauritz should have played in the final test (I presume Ponting gets a say in the team selection) and in the first test, why did he use part-time spinners against Anderson and PANESAR in the first test? Panesar would have easily got out to quick bowlers What's the reaction like in Australia after this? I'm reading Fox Sports and they're saying stuff about Ponting facing a backlash, Warney slaming Hauritz's omission and the state of the pitch Australia are down to 4th in the rankings now. Would be great if England beat South Africa and then overtake them England won thanks to great bowling by Broad (last test) and Flintoff (second test at Lord's) really. Good batting in the second test - Strauss 161, Cook 95 for example, but the 4th test which Australian won was poor by England's batsmen. I didn't think their batsmen were that good at series really. The 5th was on by Broad, the Australian selectors and the pitch Should also mention Flintoff's great run out, getting Ponting out...

Some people are questioning his captaincy but I reckon he does alright - he's still the most senior member of the team and I can't see Michael Clarke stepping up anytime soon. I don't think he does get much say in the selection to be honest. The selectors (Hilditch and co.) are very powerful, and Ponting said himself that 'not picking Hauritz was the wrong decision'. It's just unfortunate that he has the lead us through more of a rebuilding phase where the players just aren't up to it. I think we've lost 3 out of the last 5 series, so 4th is no suprise in the rankings. Though England is still 5th Apparently Australia had 9 centurians while England had 2, and the top three bowlers in the series were Australian. With those stats we should win the series, but oh no. How it went wrong

You think that England didn't have setbacks? We had the biggest setback of all... Ravi Bopara. he scored 200+ the other day in a county match. |

Hampshire beat Gloucestershire yesterday. Good performance from the bowlers, Griffiths taking 4-29 Hants restricted Gloucestershire to 184 and won by 3 wickets in the end - Adams got 79. Fans kept shouting "Green Army!", Dyer, in relation to that advert - don't know why
