Well no, not really. Even if England does win, it doesn't prove that the outcome was definite from the off.

England and South Africa are (at the moment) fairly evenly matched (though usually South Africa are clearly the better of the two). We can be fairly certain of outcomes of top sides playing minnows, but we can't safely guarantee results in even matches (except maybe back when Cronje was SA captain :| ).

Anyway, my domestic team are currently top of the T20 tournament (you may have seen them at the T20 Champs League, Otago Volts)

Boo England :|

Kev, your theory on the outcome of the series is weird. You can't see a drawn series?
Not after that. The momentum carried through by whatever team won (or drew) would be enough to carry that team through to victory. England will feel that even now under the kosh they can survive, they've played well all series and survived their worst play in South Africa, they're not going to let it slip now
What a prediction, Kev :neuclap:

Woah, Chris took my side on a Cricketing argument! Yeah, England are incredibly inconsistent. The amount of times we've been doing really well, and then just for some reason turn to shit is incredible.

Onions could bat all 5 days, if needed I think.

South Africa 215-2 in reply to England's 180. :wall: England are protesting though.

Going to NZ vs Bangladesh ODI today, first ODI in Dunedin in 5 years!

We thumped them in the T20, we smashed them in the first ODI. Now it's the 2nd ODI, and Dunedin has extremely short boundaries, so I'm sure to see plenty of big shots. I'm hoping we bat first so we can build a massive score :P

GWS can leave a message :|coffee

Yeah, NZ v BAN was the very first test match at the university oval, now NZ v BAN was the very first ODI at the uni oval

Pretty shit match really :neulol:

Bangladesh (batting first) were doing about 2 an over for the first 30-35 overs, but they turned it on at the end, made really good use of the batting powerplay. Saw some good sixes (almost caught one) and got on TV a few times.

Also got extremely sunburnt, forgot a hat & sunscreen. But at least I remembered my sunnies :neushades:

^That's gotta be the first time I've used that smiley in context :|coffee

I kinda want another coffee now :|coffee

At least you saw some international cricket though :thumb: New Zealand won by five wickets I see.

Hampshire have done some deal with the Rajasthan Royals of the IPL league - we're changing our name from the Hawks to the Royals. :| Hampshire will join the Cape Cobras, Victoria and Trinidad & Tobago under the Royals2020 "brand" - seems silly really. We'll all be wearing the same kits too. Oh dear.

Yeah, it's been 5 years since the last ODI in Dunedin. I blame Malcolm Farry and his bitch Peter Chin :snooty:

And yeah, that Royals thing is dumb :neulol:

In the Twenty20 World Cup qualifiers, Afghanistan beat Ireland and the USA beat Scotland! Afghanistan beating Ireland might not be such a shock now as they've got a good record against Ireland at the moment - but USA beating Scotland! :roneu:

Afghanistan's rise in cricket is a great story and I hope they can qualify and have further success.
