Hampshire won by 7 wickets inside 3 days  Afghanistan failed to qualify for the World Cup in the end  , but they finished inside the top 6 meaning they get ODI status!  I think they get to play in the Intercontinental Cup now, and get a chance to qualify for the next Twenty20 World Cup!  Amazing story.

Hampshire just beat Leicestershire by 4 wickets in the Friends Provident Trophy! They're doing well at the moment, with a win over Worcestershire in the CC and a (lucky I suppose) draw with Warwickshire! |

The England squads for the 20Twenty WC and the ODI against the Windies. The biggest news from and Irish perspective is that Eoin Morgan has been called up for both teams, fair play to the lad and he deserves the call up, despite his large international experience with Ireland, he is still very young and will hopefully have a lengthy career with the England team. |

As some of you are aware I'm sure, the first test of the summer has started here in England, against the West Indies. England are doing great  (  ). England got 377, and West Indies then only got 152 - meaning they're following on and are currently 96-5!  I thought Chanderpaul would do great again, but in this match he's been out for 0 and 4 - Swann getting him both times

I'm going to my first match of the season at the weekend. Hampshire v Nottinghamshire in the County Championship (Day 3 and/or 4). Nottinghamshire on Day 1 currently have 305-8. Damn. |

Hampshire sucked today. They reduced Notts to 47-4 or something but then it ended on 380-6d Hampshire have 400+ to get on the final day, and they've already lost a wicket. Expect a report for GWS soon. |
