I think Kev mentioned Ramprakash before the media did actually, because the BBC is mentioning how he could come back. I doubt he will though. He wasn't included in the Lions team to face Australia - that would have been a good practice match before the big match - so he'd come in having not played test cricket for years. I doubt he'll return - England will just replace Harmison with Flintoff I think. Bopara, Bell and Collingwood will be given one final chance.

How many runs exactly has Bopara got in the first 4 tests? I don't remember him scoring more than 10 in any innings...

Yeah he sucks at the moment. He's only in because he did well against the West Indies before. I doubt the selectors will want to radically change anything though, such as giving a debut to Trott to replace him in such a big match - the final, if you will. Bopara I think will stay.

In the papers today they said Strauss and Flintoff had a falling out and that Freddie might not play the 5th test? Other than that I think Kev's teams are pretty spot on - Australian chairman of selectors came out today and said that Clark will be dropped for Hauritz because the wicket will spin. I think the match is destined for a draw, I just can't see England getting 20 wickets (at least) for the win.

You know what Auzzie papers are like when it comes to the Ashes.

The latest ECB update is that Flintoff is recovering well from his knee injury and Anderson has the all clear as regards his groin injury.

Trott replacing Bopara from what I've heard.

T20 Cup in England. Somerset are heading for the final later tonight. They need 14 runs from 25 balls. Tresco hit a great 56 from 32 at the start of the innings to do it. I can see us winning it! Sussex vs Somerset final. Looks awesome.

Congrats on getting to the final! A shame we got rid of Sky Sports so I can't watch it

I heard about Trott. Seems like an interesting move. Bringing in a debutant in the Ashes 'final'? Risky?! The pressure too...

Doesn't look like we're going to win. Almost 2 a ball right now needed.

Sussex are the champions! Congrats to them and unlucky Dyer.

Sussex had to win something after they were thrashed by Hampshire in the FP Trophy final

Last time we won the T20 cup, England won the ashes. (2005). That's a bad omen.

Trott will be given his debut in the deciding match after Panesar :| was brought in to replace Bopara. That's a major gamble. I think it will backfire and Australia will bring back Brett Lee, who will be all fired up after missing the first 4 games!

5th Test at the Oval then. England in first and they got 307-8. Hmmm, should have got more than that. Trott did alright on his debut and was unlucky that Katich was alert to get him out with the run out.

quite evenly poised. Though I heard the wicket is a good batting one, so we can bat forever now and force a draw. :point:
