Taking Kev's advice, I took it seriously and set out a flight plan, sorted a GPS approach etc

But i was so preocupied with watching the GPS and heading etc, that I ended up lodged in the side of a mountain that stood between me and the runway
Side of a mountain

Flew from Beijing to Hong Kong last night. Left the altitude hold on the AP by mistake so landed late on the runway, all good though. Now my second long haul.

In Sydney now, left the plane fly whilst doing study and stuff so I flew the first 50 and the last 100NM's in. Got the computer to record my flight. 14 hours the flight was in game time!

That's the only thing about that game, I could never stay on it too long :| I don't think I've ever complete a full flight either - maybe when I get back on Sunday, I'll install it again and give it a go

Well, the longest flight is over. In LAX now, a quick hop across America to new York via Chicago and then my last biggish flight across the Atlantic to Shannon, from there it's the smallest flight of the lot. Back to Cork and ending my venture around the world

Well, JFK didn't have an ILS, so I crashed there. I crashed at Beijing and once at Shannon, not too bad considering the amount of flights I had

Finished my first full vatSIM flight today!

Dublin to London Stansted. I couldn't believe there was a controler at Dublin but he cleared me to taxi, and to takeoff. From there I tuned into Birmingham center and they took over until i realched near London, I buzzed Stansted tower requesting landing but apparently you have to be set for landing before you do that (Established on the ILS) so I did that, buzzed in and landed just after another Ryanair had departed, I found it difficult taxiing to the right spot but got there eventually, used FS passengers and it's class when you get cleared for takeoff by a human and turn off the music the hostess actually says 'The captain has advised us that we are now clear for takeoff' and the same for landing. This is about as close as I'm going to ge to actually flying a real airliner
