Well they didnt get trashed, but it's a favourable result for Barcelona. Will be a different story in Nou Camp, exactly.

And Bordeaux were a little lucky were they? I only saw the highlights but Olympiakos had heaps of chances - and a goal ruled out that was quite controversial.

Disappointing defeat for Chelsea which was made worse with Cech having to go off. It looks serious and might be out for the rest of the season. Hilario will have to step up.

That was a gripping game. Terry should have done more to stop Milito for the first goal. Kalou's finish was decent although Cesar should maybe have done better with that. Maybe he was suffering from that car crash. Cambiasso's winner was decent.

No players really impressed for Chelsea. Terry doesn't seem the same player as he was before the scandal. Lampard wasn't as effective as normal although he's recovering from a virus. Drogba was anonymous, as was Anelka. Mourinho brought on Balotelli to target make-shift left back Malouda in a bid to get more goals while they were on top but it didn't work. Balotelli does seem class though, as does Lucio who put in a great shift. Eto'o seemed anonymous too and missed a chance in the first half - he was eventually taken off for Pandev. A 2-1 defeat isn't bad for Chelsea, they've got an away goal to take back to London.

The referee seemed decent enough although Kalou should have been awarded a penalty at the end of the first half.

Can't wait for the second leg, obviously.

CSKA Moscow and Sevilla drew 1-1 in the earlier match, I should add.

I didn't see the match but surely Chelsea are still favoured here. They are too strong at the Bridge and it seems similar to when Inter capitulated at Old Trafford last year. I also fancy Sevilla to go through.

Hopefully, but without Fabregas I'm afraid this could be our last day in Europe season 2009/2010.

I knew Arsenal would comfortably win tonight but not that easily! 5-0 without Fabregas! I have to admit that's decent. Even Bendtner got a hat-trick after his shocker against Burnley at the weekend. Arsenal advance 6-2 on aggregate then.

Joining them is Bayern Munich, despite losing 3-2 away to Fiorentina earlier. Bayern advance 4-4 on away goals. That's tough on on Fiorentina, they won tonight and should have drawn in the first leg if it wasn't for Ovrebo giving Bayern a blatantly offside goal. Ovrebo dumping another team out undeservedly then.

Tomorrow is Beckham's return to Old Trafford - looking forward to it. Can Lyon keep their 1-0 lead at the Bernabeu?

But Bayren got one more away goal then Fiorentina. Good match it was for Arsenal, I didn't see much of it, but from what I read it was a real cracker.

Manchester United are 2-0 up against AC Milan in the 49th minute. Game over, they're 5-2 up on aggregate. To be honest, it was game over before the match started and even more so when United went 1-0 up. Good cross by Neville and nice header by Rooney for the first. Milan had chances to score early in the first half but after the goal, the game died down a bit.

Still awaiting Beckham's return.

If Milan come back from this, it will be one of the greatest comebacks ever

Manchester United 4, AC Milan 0.

Good goal from Fletcher.. How they left him wide open, I have no idea.
