OK, who I'd like to play:

Chelsea
AZ Alkmaar (Inter or Real Madrid would be good to see at the Bridge though  )
Stuttgart
FC Zurich (wouldn't mind seeing Wolfsburg either).

Chelsea's group of death in my opinion:

Real Madrid
Fiorentina
Wolfsburg (Rubin Kazan maybe. Champions of Russia so they can't be that bad  )

For Stuttgart it would be the same although Rubin Kazan come in, as do Barcelona or Man United.

Having a tough group is only good IMO. Closer games and you have 'nothing' to lose. Chelsea should advance anyway.

Chelsea's best season ever was 2007-08 and you all know that they had a very hard group with three big sides.

I want to see us playing Zurich, Marseille (not the worst team in that pot, but a team that fits our play) and... Rangers. Basically to kick Cammy's ass. I don't think Porto is that good this season either.

I'd not like to see us play any of the top three sides there, Lyon, Real and Inter. Even CSKA has made trouble for us back in 2006. Real Madrid must be the strongest. Fiorentina, Bordeaux and A.Madrid would make a bad combination as well and I think Standard Liege seems to be the strongest side from the last pot. The others would need underrating from our side to grab points from us. APOEL seems kinda good though.

Seems a bit annoying if your a Celtic fan. That you don't go through, but Unirea Urzicen... some team that you've never heard off gets through...

What do you guys think about the new system with two different qualifiers? More outsiders goes to the groupstage, but obviously bigger and more attractive teams gets knocked out.

It's fair because it should be easier for the Champions and only the best runner-ups (ord 3rd, 4th placed sides), the non-champions, goes through. So you can say that it doesn't matter for Arsenal, Fiorentina and Lyon, but the 'losers' of this new system are teams like Anderlecht, Sporting and Celtic who normally would be seeded in this round.

Would you like to see the runner-ups from Scotland and Belgium in rather than the champions from Switzerland and Cyprus? Be neutral Cammy and Chris, it could be Rangers next season, eh.

It should be the BEST teams that qualify. You shouldn't be peanalised because you happen to play in a tough league.

The Best teams or the Champion teams?

I don't mind the new format. :P

I quite like it actually. I thought it would be a retarded format but it's quite easy to understand and you get more champions and new teams in it!

Just found out that UEFA will investigate Eduardo's dive, whay! To avoid Marius getting weird again, I think UEFA should act on every diver, regardless of the team ;)2 Eduardo could face a 2-game ban.

You get three teams through automatically so I wouldn't call that a penalty. UEFA wants more leagues included from Europe and not go deeper into Italy, Spain and England. With this format and new leagues in, sides that are smaller now will be more attractive for sponsers and they will be decent in the future.

And Chris: When was I weird? Explain.

Atletico are the main danger for Chelsea and Porto are good as we know. APOEL Nicosia should be beaten home and away, but you never know! Looking forward to seeing them at Stamford Bridge :neushades: Chelsea should qualify, but I may have just jinxed this 'Cammy-style' :neulol:

As for Stuttgart, I can see them qualifying from that! The battle will be against Rangers for the second place. Sevilla is probably the best team to get from Pot 1 for Stuttgart so I'm happy with that. Unirea Urziceni are something of an unknown quantity but if they're like Cluj last year, I don't expect much from them.

Barcelona v Inter Milan and Real Madrid v AC Milan sounds great too! Ibrahimovic and Eto'o against their old teams, that was always going to happen  Kaka back at the San Siro should be a great spectacle.

The British clubs have a decent draw in general. Looking forward to Man United v Wolfsburg though. Arsenal should definitely top their group. Liverpool's is a bit harder I think, as Lyon and Fiorentina are both decent teams. Maybe Debrecen could cause a surprise too?

Babis, you think they'll get rolled? :| They'll qualify from that - AZ Alkmaar and Standard Liege are good teams but I can't see them getting past Arsenal and Olympiakos I'm afraid.
