Interesting draw. Seems like the UEFA Cup really has some good quality this season, unlike the CL. Group E looks hard, as does Group I. Group L also. Best matchup could be Villarreal-Lazio

Benfica sucks but our defense sucks as well so I don't think we'll be able to defend against the likes of Saviola. Everton is getting owned at PL but we'll lose to them too I think. So it's Everton and either us or Benfica, if we manage not to lose any points to BATE. Easier draw for Panathinaikos who will probably finish 2nd behind Galatasaray. I agree with Hugh Europa League is great stuff this year and a must watch imo. |

The Europa League takes centre stage tonight with the opening matches of the group stage. There are quite a few fixtures taking place tonight - see them here. I actually agree with it all  This will be the first time most of us will see the additional referees on the goal lines too. Should be interesting to see how they do - but we probably won't get any 'was it over the line or not?' decisions for ages

Oh for god sake, Celtic were leading 0-1 - away from home I must add - and have conceded 2  Ridiculous. With Hamburg losing 3-0, this would have been a perfect time to get 3 points.

That is quite shocking, but Hertha aren't doing that well in the Bundesliga at the moment. 17th (out of 18) with 3 points. |

True Just been watching Everton 4 AEK Athens 0. Sorry Babis, but AEK suck Saha got sent-off at the end but hardly touched Juanfran and he then dives backwards
