I actually never bother to go and find threads, even if we win. Rafa is losing the plot, he took off Babel who was playing well for Riera who fucked up a free-kick and he didn't even bother letting Aquliani start. What a waste of £20m! |

We should've won yesterday, especially since Lucho had a few chances that he blew wide. Thankfully Ben Arfa came to the rescue at the end  Now, we have to shut them down next week at home  Great win for Lille as well! If they can get past Liverpool, that would be big  More problems for Benitez and "Little Spain" eh

Astonishing news from Craven Cottage: losing 3-1 on aggregate after a defeat in Turin, Fulham are beating Juventus 4-1 with minutes to go in the second leg!  That would be an amazing comeback, unbelievable!  Juventus even opened the scoring tonight so Fulham were 1-4 down!Cannavaro was sent off earlier but still, for Fulham of all teams to lead the mighty Juventus after being 3-1 down on aggregate is great stuff. As I write this, Zebina's just been sent-off for Juventus. Oh dear! |

What a night for Juve Marseille out though, fuck. We took the lead through Niang in the second half, then they equalized right after that, unbelievable. The final blow came in the 90th, nothing to say really. Ben Arfa, who came on afterwards, got sent off seconds later for some stupid foul  A night to forget really. Now, we have to concentrate on Lyon Sunday before the big match next week, the final of the Coupe de la Ligue against Bordeaux. We can't afford to screw around anymore, this is aggravating. We better not defend like that against Bordeaux or else we can forget about getting our hands on silverware this season. Ridiculous.

I would mention Liverpool v Lille, but I'm gonna have to go with Fulham. Total underdogs and they still managed to humble Juventus! Unbelievable stuff really, just unbelievable! |

Quarter finals draw Fulham v Wolfsburg Hamburg v Standard Liege Valencia v Atletico Madrid Benfica v Liverpool Some good ties there! Spanish derby especially! Semi final draw Hamburg or Standard Liege v Fulham or Wolfsburg Valencia v Atletico Madrid v Benfica v Liverpool Final draw to determine the home team: Semi final 2 winners. Hamburg wouldn't officially be the home team if they reach the final! Could be another German semi-final (I think it will be) and a possible return of Benitez to Valencia! |

Fulham and Liverpool could meet in the final, if both get through to the final! And I think Fulham wouldn't mind the result in the final, since it's just a dream being there, but they would want to win. But anyway, good draw for Liverpool and hopefully we shall get revenge against Benfica who dumped us out of the Champions League in 2006! |

Thoughts on the match then, TGL and Nuno? Good match between Benfica and Liverpool (2-1) I thought although the Swedish referee was a bit dodgy. Benfica should have won by more than that but Liverpool defended well with 10 men. I think Liverpool will qualify though as they have that important away goal. Great to hear that Fulham beat earlier Champions League entrants Wolfsburg 2-1! Wolfsburg have an away goal though but Fulham definitely have a chance! |
