We had a thread last season so I thought I'd make a new one for this season.

This season will be good as ever, with some people already predicting United will do worse with Ronaldo at Real Madrid now - but will the sale of one player affect the whole team? Chelsea kept hold of John Terry and are being predicted as winners in some areas, whilst Arsenal have lost Adebayor and Toure and only brought in Vermaelen. Liverpool lost Xabi Alonso but brought in Aquiliani, while Manchester City look to be the most likely team to break into the top 4 with their new money, having brought in Adebayor, Tevez, Santa Cruz, Barry and Toure. Time will tell what will happen this season

With Newcastle, Middlesbrough and West Brom dropping out of the league, Wolves, Birmingham and Burnley replace them in the top flight.

----------------------------------------

What is your prediction for the final PL table? Mine:

1. Chelsea
2. Manchester United
3. Liverpool
4. Arsenal
-------------------------------------
5. Tottenham
6. Manchester City
--------------------------------------
7. Everton
8. Aston Villa
9. West Ham
10. Fulham
11. Sunderland
12. Bolton
13. Wigan
14. Blackburn
15. Portsmouth
16. Wolves
17. Burnley
--------------------------------------
18. Hull City
19. Stoke
20. Birmingham

I can't believe you guys (-Marius) think that Chelsea are going to win the league.they were third last year... What makes you think that they are going to get above Liverpool, let alone United.

I just don't think United is going to win again, there's no way, as for Liverpool I highly doubt it. I just put Chelsea because I don't see City winning it either :|

Looks like ligue is the only one who believe in Manchester City as well. I have this feeling we can drop out of the top 4 too, but the friendlies against good international opponents like Rangers and Atletico Madrid puts an optimism in me. I think we can challenge the top 3 for a bit too, but we'll fall apart when our teenagers have exams and end of school parties in the end of the season.

Exactly.

As for City, we'll see if Hughes can handle the pressure..

I don't personally see why Arsenal can't win the league. Maybe lacking a bit of fire-power, but all you need is for Adabayor or Van Persie to have a great run, and they will be feared.

No-one believed in us after we sold Henry in 2007, but we did well and came 4 points from Manchester United in the end. Just a poor form in February that season made us lose the title, where we drew like six times in a row. Lost 2-1 against Chelsea and United in the same race too, after leading both of the games.

Eduardo and Van Persie, that's all we need. Screw Adebayor for leaving, it was for the money and nothing else. The only thing is if Eduardo is going to be injured every season, we'll never have a decent attack. We need to sign a player or two though, we can't afford to go on with that lot - we need experience as well.
