two trophies, many runner-ups. Posts: 3,942 Group: Members Member #29 Joined: March 28, 2006	Pretty crap match, certainly not a classic. Very few chances, if any, for both teams. Man Utd should have equalised with Valencia's chance in about the 80th minute, but he smacked the bar. Ferdinand screws up again to let Torres through while Ngog's goal was literally at the end, with Man Utd already pushed forward. Referee was shite I thought, nothing major but lots of little things he got wrong. Though both Red cards were fair. Beach balls Really was a poor performance from Man Utd, I certainly don't think Liverpool will be a threat this year.

Impressive performance from them. Van Persie was great I hear. I have to admit, he's a great player - when he gets the ball, it's like it's tied to his foot - great stuff Bolton v Chelsea kicking off soon - I expect Chelsea to win but not by the same margin as in the Carling Cup earlier in the week (4-0).

Benitez also took off Benayoun - arguably Liverpool's best player this season - and Kuyt! Oh dear. He's probably resting them for the Champions League but you don't take off your best players at 1-1. Dempsey then made it worse - 3-1 at full-time! Chelsea were all over Bolton and won 4-0! Apparently Deco's goal was great - can't wait to see it. Last results: Bolton 0 Chelsea 4 Chelsea 4 Bolton 0 (Carling Cup) Chelsea 5 Blackburn 0 Chelsea 4 Atletico Madrid 0 (Champions League) 8 red cards today too! Portsmouth managed to win - 4-0 - and Hull lost again, meaning Brown will probably be out soon. Crazy.

Something needs to change though, and like you say, maybe the owners. Strange that Benitez took Torres, Benayoun and Kuyt off though Surely the Champions League can't be an excuse. If Liverpool were winning 2-1 at that point then fair enough, but surely you'd go for the win first before resting players...
