I could only see one penalty and that was for Gallas on Gerrard, even if it looked like Gerrard took a dive, to be honest ... But other than that... If the old Offside rule was in play now, we wouldn't of scored, since Lucas would of been ruled offside and play stopped. Nothing to say about Johnson's Own Goal, and Arshavin's stirke ... What a goal! |

Matchday 17: Part 1![]() Wolves changed 10 players and fell to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Manchester United. Results Birmingham 2 Blackburn 1 Bolton 3 West Ham 1 Manchester United 3 Wolves 0 Sunderland 0 Aston Villa 2 Table Table Manchester United are level on points with Chelsea (both on 37 points), but Chelsea play Portsmouth tonight... Next Fixtures Wednesday - today Burnley v Arsenal Chelsea v Portsmouth Liverpool v Wigan Tottenham v Manchester City ...and finally If Chelsea lose against Portsmouth tonight then I can sense people wanting Ancelotti to leave. Chelsea have a set piece problem at the moment but alot of the goals that they've conceded were just unlucky, so the booing is uncalled for. Anyway, Chelsea should definitely win this. Avram Grant returns with Pompey Yesterday Mick McCarthy changed 10 players from their 1-0 win over Spurs at the weekend. He wanted to keep them fit for the 'big games' (although United is a big game, right?) and now the Premier League has written to Wolves to ask for them to explain it Wolves' line-up can be seen at the bottom of this page.Tonight we also have the Europa League, so check that out. Finally, regarding England's 2018 World Cup bid, the cities have been chosen. Milton Keynes has been picked, as have three London stadiums. I thought FIFA only allowed two per city at maximum? See the news story here. |

Liverpool just lost 2-0 away to Portsmouth! This is getting worse for Liverpool but it's so funny! Now Avram's at Pompey, maybe this is the start of their rise back up the table...

What a save by Pompey's keeper there! You can tell Liverpool is unlucky when you see Portsmouth's goals too Great finish on 1-0 there though.

Well they made it 3-0! Can't believe it, but I suppose they can blame injuries. Can't believe Liverpool lost to Portsmouth either (2-0) - great stuff. Manchester City beat Sunderland 4-3 but all the attention is on Mark Hughes. He's rumoured to be leaving with Roberto Mancini replacing him. Hughes' body language at the end of the game suggests that he knows already that he's leaving - maybe due to the fact Hiddink's agent came out and said City tried to get him (openly trying to get other managers).

Denilson 1-0 against Hull, three minutes into the overtime of the first half. Not a good first half by us and we're currently lucky. We MUST win this game! |
