I haven't really seen anything, but a loss is a loss. Letting in four goals against Shitty is not acceptable. I expected a loss, but we should have done better.

As for Adebayor: You scoring was one thing, but your celebration? You are a bad man, with no feelings at the bottom of your heart. So sad to see.

He's changed greatly since he left, I hate the bastard now. Thankfully I didn't even see the match in the first place, what a horrible performance.

As usual, Voronon misses a sitter, but Yossi gets a hat-trick

Now that's what I'm looking for, Liverpool winning!

Apparently he stamped on van Persie. If it's true, he should be banned for a while. He made it worse by celebrating in front of the Arsenal fans ( ), but that caused some unrest with police involved, so he's stupid really.

Darren Bent Come on, he scored 2 goals today in what was a enthrilling performance by Sunderland. Sunderland have now changed from last season, last season they were the laughing and whipping boys of the premier league, this season it has all change, and we are now playing more as a team. Just the way i like to see my football which is "Sexy Football".

Matchday 5: Part 1

The Adebayor Show.

Adebayor was the centre of attention today after helping Manchester City beat Arsenal 4-2. He stamped on van Persie, ran the entire length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Arsenal fans, dribbled around a few Arsenal defenders and also grabbed a goal. Is this the start of City's break into the top 4?

Man United showed no signs of missing Ronaldo with a 3-1 win over Spurs. Defoe scored a great overhead kick to put Spurs in the lead but United hit back with a free kick from Giggs, Anderson's first goal for the club and a good finish from Rooney.

Chelsea left it late to beat Stoke City in a pulsating match. Faye opened the scoring with a header after Cech ran out of his goal, before Drogba's nice turn and shot made the score 1-1. Malouda scored in the final seconds to hand Chelsea all three points. They dominated the second half and deserved the goal.

Jake, Sunderland seemed good indeed! Darren Bent should be called up for England and new signing Turner looks decent too.

Loads of goals on this matchday. Benayoun got a hat-trick for Liverpool in their 4-0 thrashing of Burnley. Pompey remain rooted to the bottom after Gary Cahill scored in the 89th minute.

Results

Blackburn 3 Wolves 1
Liverpool 4 Burnley 0
Manchester City 4 Arsenal 2
Portsmouth 2 Bolton 3
Stoke 1 Chelsea 2
Sunderland 4 Hull 1
Tottenham 1 Manchester United 3
Wigan 1 West Ham 0

Table

Table

Chelsea lead by 3 points. :neushades:

Next Fixtures

Sunday 13th September - Tomorrow
Birmingham v Aston Villa
Fulham v Everton

Look out for...

Sunderland's new defender Michael Turner, signed from Hull City. Looked decent today and even scored (well, its a Zayette own goal but looked like a Turner goal to me, and he's claiming it).

...and finally

Adebayor. He was clearly up for that game! He was defending on the line, showed skill by dribbling past a few defenders and scored a goal - his celebration was funny, running the entire length of the pitch to celebrate in front of the Arsenal fans! :ohdear Unfortunately, it caused the police to come in and stuff was being thrown onto the pitch. But the bigger talking point is the stamp. He clearly stamped on van Persie and deserves to be banned really. He was charged up for the game but that was ridiculous.

Video of the goal and celebration here - hopefully YouTube won't delete it.

 Adebayor was classic. I watched some of that game, it was quite good. Arsenal played well in the second half so I was suprised to see the final scoreline. Dunno what Cech was doing for that Stoke goal. :neulol:

Barcelona beat Getafe 2-0 this morning while Real Madrid won 3-0 over Espanyol. :|

Even more embarassing: Robbie Fowler scored a crack goal to give North Queensland their first ever win, over Sydney. :wall:

EDIT: Just realised this thread is for Premier League. Whatever :|

He will, but it doesn't matter :P

Adebayor is still a twat...

And yes Man City/Tottenham are the two teams that can break into the top 4 imo

Duff's first goal for Fulham helped them to a 2-1 win over Everton.

Fulham beat Everton 2-1 thanks to goals from Konchesky and Duff. Cahill did score the first goal for Everton but it did look offside.

Aston Villa beat Birmingham 1-0 in the derby after Agbonlahor's goal. England fans: Heskey didn't even play.
