Oh absolutely, I agree 100%. Germany still deserve to go further. England's backline has been a joke so far. Germany have dominated.
That said, England have suddenly stepped up a gear early in the second half.

My German blood hopes Germany can hold out for the win.

4-1 now. This scoreline means that the match hasn't been decided just by a very poor decision, and Germany still deserve the win.

That was a complete domination.

Muller :notworthy: Great player and certainly will have a great future!

Can't wait to see Argentina v Germany next, Argentina's defence is even worse than England's but Argentina's offence... :P

I think Chris committed suicide. That was pathetic. We've got two excellent defenders, and neither one played today. Upson was probably worried that Terry would sleep with his wife, and Terry was concentrating on when he was going to sleep with Upson's wife.

If I'm honest... 4-1 isn't as bad as it sounds. 2-0 down was bad, but the 3rd goal was us pushing to equalize the match. The fourth, was that we had no choice but to attack. Although... For the life of me, I can't work out why Heskey came on for Defoe... Where was Crouch? And don't bring him on for another attacker for god's sake!

I didn't commit suicide (unlucky for you guys), although I did go mad like Alle would when that blatant goal was ruled out :| Seeing Germany win 4-1 was unreal. They were definitely the better team and deserve to advance. The ruled out goal could have changed the game because we would have been on top after coming from 2-0 down. I guess it was revenge for the 1966 goal. Those Uruguayans will be remembered forever. But still, England were pathetic. They never play like they do for their clubs. Germany were great so I shouldn't take anything away from them.

The newspapers tomorrow morning... No doubt we'll hear that Capello should be sacked, players should retire and we should "reform the game at grassroots level" like they always say. :|

Dyer - indeed, couldn't believe he brought on Heskey :neured:

I do agree with reforming the game from grass roots. The players are simply trained to play hoof football and play with power and pace. More needs to go to the technical side of things where England mostly lack. Also, there needs to be more english players playing abroad so they can learn from other countries and pick up new styles of play.

I fear for England in the WC2014 qualifiers when the likes of Gerrard and Lampard retire.

I can see the tabloids

England in Roo-ins
Roo-ing their chances

Gutted that we didn't qualify. Had an excellent chance of topping that group and we'd be facing Ghana now for a semi final place. We could've definitely done it

Rep. Ireland would have done very well at the tournament. Better than England. But that's footy. :(

Yep. Well hopefully we can make tracks in the Euro champs and maybe do well in that! This will be this generations last chance.

On a side note Ireland lost 4-1 on penalties to Spain in the European u17 Womens Championship final

You wouldn't have even been seeded in that group and even if the Republic of Ireland were in that group, you wouldn't have got out of it. Don't say I'm being bitter about England either because I've said this
