An article on BBC: South Africa World Cup 'just for the rich' LINK For the rich indeed, you'll see more Europeans and Americans than Africans in the stadiums and the people who actually live and work there can't even do their jobs properly because of the police bullshit, it's all stupid IMO. Why let rich companies sell here when local vendors can do the same thing? As one of the guys in the article said, they're being treated like criminals The sad thing is that it's all about money, which will just hurt the poor even more over there. Then, when the World Cup is over, all the rich faggots will pack their bags and leave as expected, disgrace.

England's 30 man squad: Goalkeepers: Joe Hart, David James, Robert Green Defenders: Leighton Baines, Jamie Carragher, Ashley Cole, Michael Dawson, Rio Ferdinand, Glen Johnson, Ledley King, John Terry, Matthew Upson, Stephen Warnock Midfielders: Gareth Barry, Michael Carrick, Joe Cole, Steven Gerrard, Tom Huddlestone, Adam Johnson, Frank Lampard, Aaron Lennon, James Milner, Scott Parker, Theo Walcott, Shaun Wright-Phillips Forwards: Darren Bent, Peter Crouch, Jermain Defoe, Emile Heskey, Wayne Rooney Glad to see Adam Johnson and Michael Dawson in the squad, they've been great this season. Not sure they'll make the final 23 though. The goalkeepers are solid. Not sure who will start out of James and Green though. Capello keeps saying Hart is inexperienced but I'd love to see him get a go. Bridge didn't return then. Carragher's back from retirement which is good news. Ledley King's been named too - he's great but normally he can only play one game per week and then his knee swells up or something. Not sure exactly but he's not the most injury free player in the squad Great player to have around though.Barry's in the squad even though he might not make it for the start of the tournament. Joe Cole's in! Surprising since he hasn't been on top form for Chelsea (although he did miss alot of the season through injury). A few surprises then. Zamora and Carlton Cole not included either... The squad travel to Austria in 6 days time apparently and we'll face Mexico and Japan before the final 23 man squad is announced. |

TGL, Baines AND Warnock when you only need one? No Upson? I'm not even sure if I'd pick Joe Cole as he hasn't been on top form for Chelsea! Adam Johnson - I'd try him out in the friendlies first, we don't want another Walcott-2006 moment. You say "Carragher/Ferdinand" - Carragher will be backup surely. |

Upson hasn't been too good this season in my opinion, as for Baines/Warnock, Warnock can play at Left Mid but not as effective as he would at Left back. Ferdinand has been injured for a bit of the season so it's kinda risky, maybe into the last game and onwards I'd use him with Carragher being the sub. I'm sure Johnson can do back than Walcott for sure and as for J.Cole, he's the backup on the right mid if it was 4-4-2. |

The list is finally out, I watched the 8PM news on TF1 to see it (the bastards gave the news first then Domenech finally spoke 25 minutes later ):
Goalkeepers: I don't think Landreau will be staying too long, even though he has the experience - it's either him or Carrasso (who has also had a nightmare ending with Bordeaux). The other two: untouchable. Defenders: NO ESCUDE, THANK FUCK FOR THAT! It would've been a cruel mistake to bring him along, I'm just happy he's not there Planus is the surprise, we'll see how that goes. Rami and Reveillere making the cut, not bad choices at all. The race for Gallas' place (if he stays out) is on Midfielders: The usual, with the shock inclusion of the young Yann M'Vila ( ), who was born in Amiens. He's decent for Rennes, but I didn't see that coming. He played for the youth teams (including the under 21s), so it could work out for him. If he does leave, I won't be surprised, but we'll see how it works out for him first. Malouda No Vieira, which isn't a real surprise, he's past it.Attackers: Djibril Cisse is in I hope he doesn't get shut out like last time though, leaving in the helicopter with 6 others. He deserves to stay IMO, he's on form and he clearly wants to be there. Valbuena is the other surprise - but I was hoping for him from the start, he's a beast. Great decision Ben Arfa No Benzema though, it was bound to happen considering the crap going on at Madrid, should've went elsewhere. If anyone could leave from this bunch, it's Gignac, who hasn't had the best of seasons. I can't see Henry leaving (who knows, he could bounce back anyway!).

I'll know them BTW all the big teams are selecting their squads at the moment, here's just a sample of who'll be missing: Zanetti, Cambiasso, Ronaldinho, Pato, Diego, Adriano, Nasri, Vieira, Benzema, Van Nistlerooy, Totti, Toni, Cassano...obviously some of these are justified but definitely some some big names in there. I suppose they have a chance, Switzerland and Chile aren't the hardest of opponents.
