Luis Suarez: "The 'Hand of God' now belongs to me. Mine is the real 'Hand Of God'. I made the best save of the tournament. Sometimes in training I play as a goalkeeper so it was worth it. There was no alternative but for me to do that."

Exactly, he sometimes plays keeper instead of forward. So it was a reflex.

I bet Chris would just let that ball go in then, but you have to accept that Suarez wanted his country to play in the semis.

And dont compare it to Henry, please. He cheated. Suarez was smart. It was the last chance of the match, that ball couldn't go in.

Woah, incredible performance there from Germany! 4-0 against Argentina, that's a great result. Argentina, with all those star strikers, barely had any shots on goal. Nice from Germany

Messi, Kaka, Cristiano Ronaldo, Rooney... all exit the World Cup without setting it alight. Shame.

One challenge was too much for Argentina. Maradona is not a genius.

So it's Spain who will meet Germany in the semi-final then, in a repeat of the Euro 2008 final which Spain won 1-0. I'll let that octopus predict that game! :|

Spain weren't as good as they normally are. The three penalties were ridiculous. Pique holding onto the Paraguayan player, what was he thinking with that?! Spain had a penalty straight away at the other end, which Xabi Alonso scored - but he had to re-take it again because of encroachment. They encroached again for his re-take but he missed. During the melee after the missed penalty, Spain should have had another when Villar tripped Fabregas, surely?!

Three posts and in for David Villa. They say you need some luck to win the World Cup and that could be their piece right there.

It's been 1,046 days since World Cup qualification started when New Caledonia beat Tahiti 1-0 in front of 400 fans. Cool eh? Now we're down to just four teams: Uruguay, the Netherlands, Germany and Spain.

Hopefully Germany will win, will be pretty good being in Berlin if they win the World Cup on the night of the final.

It would be epic. What time did you say your flight is? Maybe you could go to the Fan Fest there...

WOW Germany. What a team. Australia losing to them 4-0 is not so bad now :neutie:

Going to be a great semi between them and Spain.

And imagine the possible finals: Germany v Netherlands - two rivals
Spain v Netherlands - Two countries looking for their first title. Secretly hoping for this actually!

Indeed, they would be great final matchups. I want the Netherlands to win their match but I don't mind who wins out of Germany and Spain really.

Germany have been great in this World Cup but Spain have been "lovely but not lethal". Who is everybody predicting for the semi-finals then?
