The smile part was just added there though, it's obvious that they wouldn't be literally smiling. You're looking too deep into the words, all I'm saying is Mali could have the last word that's all. The smile part was just added there since ZZ likes smiling so much :| Sometimes things can have a double meaning, that applies here mate. Skamme deg :neured:

Zambia are a much better side than Gabon from all the matches I've seen. Thing is Zambia could have quite easily got 9pts from 3. They showed great technical play despite the finish lacking whereas Gabon always lacked technique and just bombed it to Cousin all the time.

OK, so the line-up for the quarter-finals then:

Sunday (today)
Angola v Ghana
Ivory Coast v Algeria

Tomorrow
Egypt v Cameroon
Zambia v Nigeria

What do we all predict then? I reckon Angola can reach the semi-finals actually  , and I predict they'll be joined by the Ivory Coast, Egypt and Nigeria.

Ghana aren't the same without all their injured players. Essien having to return to England has hit them - he's their motor in midfield.

I'm sure ZZ predicts an Algerian victory though.

I'm surprised he didn't post any word on it yet :| Cameroon lost today :( Nigeria are through, no surprise (even though they had to go through on penalties).

Semis on Thursday:
Algeria - Egypt
Ghana - Nigeria

Both great match-ups

I'm sure he'll have plenty to say on this match, a repeat of those classic World Cup qualifiers a few months ago.

Seriously though, it was always going to happen (Egypt v Algeria) after what happened recently. I think Algeria can cause a surprise here and we won't hear the end of it :neutie:

Egypt defeated Algeria earlier (4-0), setting up a date with Ghana (who defeated Nigeria, 1-0) in the final  Come on Ghana!!!!!!!!!
