So, most of us have seen a live match in 2009 - what was the best match you went to? Personally I don't have one great match to mention, but I saw a few good ones: ![]() England 36 Italy 11 - Six Nations rugby (7th February) I had never seen England in a proper test match before (New Zealand Barbarians doesn't count) so seeing England in the Six Nations was great. Italy was always going to be a match England would win but just being there to see it was great. It wasn't a classic but still. The journey back was... very cold Surrounded by loads of Italians, I had to wait ages for a bus to get back to the nearest tube station. Still a good day.Highlights and BBC report ![]() Chelsea 1 Juventus 0 - Champions League (25th February) I saw three Champions League games this year and this was one of them. It was my first Champions League match ever and was great to see (despite it being 1-0). Drogba's goal in Hiddink's first home game after 13 minutes helped Chelsea win over two legs in the season we got so close to the final - but eventually lost to Barcelona. Again, surrounded by loads of Italians! ![]() BBC report ![]() England 4 Slovakia 0 (28th March) It was only a friendly before the big Ukraine game in the World Cup qualifiers but to see England for the first time was great. I went to Wembley last year for the Race of Champions but this was the first time I saw football there. England easily won 4-0. BBC report ![]() Rosenborg 2 Lillestrom 1 (26th July) My first game abroad and watching it with a TC2er - Marius Amazing. The Rosenborg fans were great (the Kjernen at least) and the match was decent too. We had to wait ages for the match but that didn't matter. Terrible defending by Rosenborg but then RBK hit back with two - one from a disputable penalty!Highlights ![]() Chelsea 4 Atletico Madrid 0 (21st October) My third Champions League game of the year (the second one being Stabaek v FC Copenhagen! ) but first of the 2009/10 season. Chelsea easily beat Atletico Madrid. I was sat with the singing fans (believe it or not ) which made it even better. Kalou got two after missing a sitter early on before Lampard and a Perea own goal made it four.BBC report Reports on Global World Sport too.

The Cork Football Final this year or the two home wins over Bray and Derry. One because it was the night we saved our club, and the other because it saw us go 6 points top of the league |

Norwegian Cup Final between Aalesund and Molde. A great rivalry between the two North West teams and a hell of a game with red card, impressive comebacks and a penalty shoot-out. Also, Molde lost

New York's 5-0 win against Toronto in the final match of the season was definitely our biggest result of the year It also marked the end of an era at Giants Stadium as the team will move to Red Bull Arena next season. Coundoul gave me his gloves that day as well
