Best player of the Year 2009: Messi Best goalkeeper: Julio Cesar Best defender: John Terry Best midfielder: Michael Essien Best forward: Messi Best manager: Guardiola Best fans: Rosenborg fans were great when I was there so they get this  Best transfer of the Year: Darren Bent (13 goals in like 20 games I think this season) Club Team of the Year: Barcelona International team of the Year: Brazil (Confederations Cup winners. Improving under Dunga) Surprise team of the Year (international or club): North Korea (Hard one this, many teams were a surprise like you guys have mentioned - Wolfsburg, Bordeaux...) Best tournament of the Year: FIFA World Cup qualifiers Most entertaining league: Premier League Best goal: Essien's goal against Barcelona Best match: Liverpool 1 Chelsea 3 - Champions League quarter-final first leg (a little biased so other great games: Lyon 5 Marseille 5, Chelsea 4 Liverpool 4 - good for the neutrals )Best moment: Chelsea winning the FA Cup Worst moment: Iniesta scoring for Barcelona, knocking Chelsea out.
