FCK amazingly close to the knockout stage! :wall:

Neither Panathinaikos nor Rubin managed to score while FCK playing Barca, so they are still five points behind FCK

However, if FCK lose to Rubin away next and then Pana at home, AND Barca lose to either Pana or Rubin, FCK will drop out :neuxmas:

COME ON, RUBIN/PANATHINAIKOS! Knock those assholes out NOW! :neujudge:

Marseille 7-0 in Slovakia! I bet Ligue is happy

Caught most of Milan-Madrid, good game. Madrid were slightly better but Inzaghi changed the game when he came on, I didn't think he still had it to be honest. But Pedro Leon ( :notworthy: ) got the goal at the end, to go with Soldado's double for Valencia.

Arsenal lost, Barca drew, Inter lost. Interesting matchday.

He's happy indeed, I just got loads of offline messages from him on MSN about Marseille! Good result though, especially as it was away! Arsenal lost though :)

The Chelsea match was a bit of a bore at the start but it changed after half-time. Anelka's goal was great, shooting from such a tight angle. The game opened up from there and Drogba scored a penalty before Ivanovic scored two (one with a good finish in the box!). We're through already! B)

AC Milan-Real Madrid sounded good, as did Basel-Roma! Ajax lost!

:notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Gignac getting his first hattrick with OM, that'll give him a boost of confidence (even if it is Zilina)! :point: Remy got one too B) We were beasts from the start :neuwine: I was hoping for 8 or even 10, but oh well, 7 will do :neutie: :neushades: The match against Spartak has been listed as "the final".

Good to see you got them :neutie: One of the commentators from L'EQUIPE (I think it was Lizarazu actually!) popped up and said a Parisian has saved OM, Nicolas Anelka just scored (in build-up to OM-PSG on Sunday :neutie: ).

Arsenal lost though

We're already going through, no pressure eh.

It will be tough. They beat you guys away and Marseille will have to win in cold Moscow on a plastic pitch. They'll beat Zilina on the last matchday too, so it's a must win!

I hate those plastic pitches - it reminds me of the crap we had to put up with when we faced Zenit over there

Matchday 5 is here! The fixtures for tonight:

Spartak Moscow v Marseille, GpF, 17:30
Ajax v Real Madrid, GpG, 19:45
Auxerre v AC Milan, GpG, 19:45
Basle v CFR 1907 Cluj-Napoca, GpE, 19:45
Braga v Arsenal, GpH, 19:45
Chelsea v MSK Zilina, GpF, 19:45
Partizan Belgrade v Shakhtar Donetsk, GpH, 19:45
Roma v Bayern Munich, GpE, 19:45

We're through already so we're playing the young players tonight from the start (such as Turnbull, Bruma, McEachran). We need a win after the poor performances in the league recently, so hopefully a win here can give us a boost. I'm nervous about the fact that we're already through and we're giving young players a go - perfect ground for Zilina to win  If they win then it doesn't matter - we're through. Obviously we'd like to be top though.

I love the fact Auxerre can still go through! If Real Madrid can beat Ajax and Auxerre beat AC Milan at home, then Auxerre would be in second! Can't see it happening personally.

Arsenal are away to Braga tonight - if Braga can win then it will be an interesting finish in Matchday 6!

Don't let Zilina win you cunts! Tonight's the night where someone gets rocked - Spartak that is, hopefully. Gignac's out, so Brandao will most likely start. M'bia should be able to play, while the rest of the squad is good to go.

As for Arsenal, don't get your hopes up, Braga will be shitted on once again :neuwine:

:ohdear

I never thought a win against Zilina would feel so good! :point: It was like watching the Birmingham game again - after Zilina scored, we were all over them and had so many shots. Malouda grabbed the win with five minutes to go, phew! McEachran - our 17 year old midfielder (!) - did really well in the centre. I know it was our B team, but hopefully that will give the whole squad a lift ahead of the next matches.

Group winners! B)

Nice win, Marseille! Welcome to the knockout stages with us!
