It's referees like this that kill the game seriously Biased or not, neutral or not, everyone KNOWS Van Persie (nor anyone for that matter) couldn't have heard that whistle with dickheads already whistling in the crowd The ref was a cock-blocker throughout the whole match, as if Guardiola put some pressure on him ahead of the match to get the result, pathetic really. The only good that comes from this is less matches for us, more focus on the league, but it's another disappointment this season.

The red card and the penalties were totally fair, not really much point in blaming the referee here. Barca dominated start to finish, had a heap of chances, Arsenal didn't have one. Not much else to say IMO, Barcelona roll on and I really wonder who will stop them. |

The red card was fair?! Come on mate, you know fully well Van Persie wouldn't have gone out of his way to try and score after an offside. I know Arsenal were playing backs to the wall from the first minute, but we were looking good until he was sent off (after the Busquets goal). Afterwards, it was all Barca. Think here for a minute eh. The ref caught Barca fever, enough said.

Yeah, come on. The match of the season, and he send out our striker because he made a shot. It's a joke, really. For the refs sake I hope he did this on purpose, maybe trying to steal the thunder from Messi, cos otherwise he is a very bad man. Leo Messi. Iniesta. It was all deserved, the penalty was far. An Arsenal win would have been a rubbery, but still... Would have been interesting to see 1-1, and 11 v 11 really. How could we win without a proper striker...Let me say it again: Fully deserved. Great football. Great players. Creds to Almunia too. Beast. |

Yeah, Almunia was epic. I mean the red was fair by the strict definition of the rules, if he kicks the ball away after the whistle it's a yellow. Obviously it's an extremely harsh way to get sent off, I've never really seen it before tbh. |

I saw the Van Persie thing yesterday, and yes, it seems really harsh to send him off for that. Although, after the whistle went, he did have a shot and didn't look bothered about it when he missed, which could suggest he knew the whistle went and was just shooting for no reason at all. Only when he was sent-off did he complain about not being able to hear the whistle. ITV pointed it out and I think they have a point Spurs are in the quarter-finals of the Champions League! Incredible. It was an end-to-end game and despite no goals, it was a decent game. Spurs held out for a 0-0 to knock AC Milan out - impressive! |

Very impressive by Spurs. Proves the decline of Italian football, especially with Inter to be knocked out next week. Schalke through as well, Germany deserves their 4th Champions League spot. |

It's amazing to see the difference between Barcelona and Milan (and Arsenal). The way of playing football is totally different. Milan weren't playing bad yesterday, but the way they play was so stoneage compared to Barcelona. Their midfield hardly move and when I saw them attack it seemed very easy for Spurs to defend. So many good players, it should have been a better game! Football has never been so good, but yet Barcelona is far ahead. It's amazing. And Messi too - far ahead. They are indeed the greatest favourite ever. Man U, Chelsea and Bayern are the only ones left that has a decent chance against them imo. I think maybe Chelsea has the best chance. They are good at killing games and then take them at home. Like they ALMOST did in 2009. |

The second half of the second leg matches start tomorrow then with Manchester United-Marseille and Bayern Munich-Inter Milan. Even though it was 0-0 in France, I'm going for a United win here for sure. I can't see Marseille pulling off a win at Old Trafford, but please, surprise me! Maybe if they can get the first goal it will be very interesting! Bayern are 1-0 up and play at home against Inter Milan. I think they'll hold out and knock out the team that beat them in last season's final A 6-0 win at the weekend too...

Two interesting match-ups. Anything but a United win (and 0-0) will put them out! And they haven't had the best form. Hmmm... But I do have a feeling about a Nani show to be honest

I managed to catch the last 20 minutes of Bayern-Inter, and what a game it was when I put it on! It was already 2-2 and it was an end-to-end game. Bayern were sitting back and Inter kept attacking and Bayern looked to be going through, but Pandev scored in the final minutes to defeat Bayern again! What a dramatic finish to the match, I wish I managed to see it all! A shame I can't see a Champions League match in Munich now though

Round of 16 - second leg results Chelsea 0 FC Copenhagen 0 (Chelsea win 2-0 on agg.) Real Madrid 3 Lyon 0 (Real Madrid win 4-1 on agg.) Bayern Munich 2 Internazionale 3 (Internazionale win on away goals) Manchester United 2 Marseille 1 (Manchester United win 2-1 on agg.) Schalke 3 Valencia 1 (Schalke win 4-2 on agg.) Tottenham 1 AC Milan 0 (Tottenham win 1-0 on agg.) Barcelona 3 Arsenal 1 (Barcelona win 4-3 on agg.) Shakhtar Donetsk 3 Roma 0 (Shakhtar Donetsk win 6-2 on agg.) Chelsea 0-0. Boring match really. We seemed to dominate but our strikers couldn't score. Copenhagen came close, especially with a free-kick from Alle's man! We seemed comfortable enough throughout the match, despite not scoring. Onwards we go! Real Madrid are finally through too! Benzema seems in great form. What a goal by Marcelo for the opener! So, the draw is on Friday at 1200 CET for the quarter-finals! The teams that are through: Chelsea, Real Madrid, Internazionale, Manchester United, Schalke, Tottenham, Barcelona and Shakhtar Donetsk. I don't want Barcelona. I don't want Real Madrid. I think Shakhtar Donetsk is a dangerous side, especially away. I think we can get revenge on Inter, but it will still be tough. I think Tottenham would be tough, but it would be a great tie. United would obviously be tough but I think we could beat them. I'll take Schalke

There's going to be some great ties in the Quarter-Finals. Feels a little special finally having Real Madrid there. I guess everyone wants Schalke or Shakhtar, they'll probably end up facing each other! Looking forward to the draw tomorrow.
