Quarter-final draw

Real Madrid v Tottenham
Chelsea v Manchester United
Barcelona v Shakhtar Donetsk
Internazionale v Schalke

Semi-final draw

Real Madrid/Tottenham v Barcelona/Shakhtar Donetsk
Internazionale/Schalke v Chelsea/Manchester United

Oooooh what a draw! Chelsea-United! It will be tough, especially with the second leg at Old Trafford, but what a tie that should be! I think we can beat them over two legs though. Our form is picking up...

Real Madrid v Tottenham! Even if they win that, Spurs will have to face Barcelona! I think this is the end of the road for Spurs personally - Madrid-Barcelona semi-final I think. Inter Milan in the semi-finals also, although the Ukraine leg will be interesting.

Chelsea-United is very exciting. United won't win at Stamford Bridge but it should come all down to the second leg.

High prospect of Real Madrid-Barca semi final as well, interesting. Stupid Barca getting Shakhtar

The quarter-finals start this week then! I won't be able to see Tuesday's matches as I'll be in Austria, but hopefully I can catch Chelsea-Manchester United somewhere on Wednesday!

Predictions for the first legs then?

Real Madrid-Tottenham - I think Real Madrid will win at home here. It might be a different story at White Hart Lane, but I think Madrid will win like 2-0.

Internazionale-Schalke - Got to go with Inter here. They were thrashed by AC Milan at the weekend (and did poorly when down to 10 men) but I think they'll be too strong for Schalke, especially at home.

Chelsea-Manchester United - Hmmm, I'll go for a draw. Chelsea have the advantage for the first leg by playing at Stamford Bridge, but I really don't know how this will go. I think it will be tight... so I'll just predict a draw.

Barcelona-Shakhtar Donetsk - I can't look past Barcelona for this one. Perhaps it will be different in the second leg, but I expect Barcelona to win here.

What a night of Champions League!

I watched Real Madrid so I'll comment there...absolutely deserved win, the team played very well. Ok it was against 10 men but the red card was probably deserved, very stupid fouls from Crouch. Sums it up actually, Tottenham really had stage fright I think. Credit to the Spurs fans actually, just walked through Madrid earlier today they absolutely packed the place, with banners, chanting, the lot. It was a great atmosphere even before the match.

And yes, I'm as shocked as everyone else about the Schalke result. Great goal by Stankovic but amazing that Schalke came back so well. They're practically in the semi finals, who would've thought!

Saw Madrid myself, was much closer than the result says. But Real were great, and they are pretty much in the semifinal now. Schalke-Real Madrid! What a match that will be for Raul!

yeah :P I would say Real are arguably favourites for the CL, but the problem is they have to play Barca (most likely) next.

Probably not with the Shakhtar bit Babs. :P

Chelsea-Man Utd is definitely not over. Pretty even match, Man Utd maybe just shaved it but a draw would have been fair, Chelsea had their chances. They can definitely get a goal at Old Trafford, it's going to be real tight.

I hate both squads, but Evra's "tackle" on Ramires (he literally bear hugged him with his legs :neuclap: ) just inside of the area was indeed a penalty, what the hell was the ref smoking :|

But IMO United winning is good for us (Arsenal) because if they go through, they'll get more fixtures - even if it doesn't make much of a difference, all it takes is an injury in one of those matches and they can wave goodbye to the prem :neutie: Then again, if Chelsea go through, it could work for us too psychologically - but it could also work against us - meaning United will revolt and go on to win the title without whining. So much is riding on this match, it's not even funny :|

As for Barca, yawn, same old story really.

You sounds so much like ZZ there, ligue.

Anyway, should have been a penalty for Chelsea, but a quite nice goal from United. That pass, and the take-down from Giggs. Class.

Where was the penalty for the Ramires tackle? Chelsea did well at the start of that match and I think we can beat them away at Old Trafford tonight. It will be tough, and we're not the same side that beat them 2-1 at Old Trafford last year. This would be a great occasion for Torres to get the winner! I think we need an early goal, otherwise we'll become desperate and United will just counter attack and score and pile on the misery.

I watched the first leg in an Australian sports bar in Munich, surrounded by loads of United fans. I missed most of the second half because a friend of mine arrived at the pub and wanted to talk upstairs instead :| but apparently I didn't miss much. I saw the Ramires thing though and admittedly Torres' dive

Come on Chelsea - I BELIEVE!
