Very crucial win for United against a tough opponent. Lots of injuries too. Hernandez :notworthy:

Alle, it's 100% now - I have the ticket for Chelsea v Marseille! B) I'm going to the Battle of The Complex B)
:neuwine: :neuwine: :neuwine: :neuwine: :neuwine:

When you see Didier Deschamps and the rest of the squad before the match, be scared, very scared :neuwine:
I love this - I think they saw Chelsea and were scared!

Matchday 3 is here! The fixtures for today:

Spartak Moscow v Chelsea, GpF, 17:30
Ajax v Auxerre, GpG, 19:45
Arsenal v Shakhtar Donetsk, GpH, 19:45
Bayern Munich v CFR 1907 Cluj-Napoca, GpE, 19:45
Braga v Partizan Belgrade, GpH, 19:45
Marseille v MSK Zilina, GpF, 19:45
Real Madrid v AC Milan, GpG, 19:45
Roma v Basle, GpE, 19:45

Tough game for Chelsea on the plastic pitch in Moscow, where we lost the final in 2008. It doesn't help that we've got Drogba, Alex, Lampard and Benayoun out either :x I'll happily take a draw from this match!

Shakhtar are good but Arsenal should win at home, as should Ajax, Bayern Munich, Marseille and Roma. Real Madrid v AC Milan

Arsenal's win against Shakhtar :neuwine:

Matchday 3: Part 1 results

Ajax 2 Auxerre 1
Arsenal 5 Shakhtar Donetsk 1
Bayern Munich 3 Cluj 2
Braga 2 Partizan Belgrade 0
Marseille 1 Zilina 0
Real Madrid 2 AC Milan 0
Roma 1 Basel 3
Spartak Moscow 0 Chelsea 2

Good win for Chelsea away in Moscow! :point: Zhirkov's goal :notworthy: Chelsea did well, even without some of our best players. Spartak did well too, especially in the second half, but we held out for a good win. Cech made some good saves and Spartak shot over the bar like four times! A great performance on a plastic pitch with key players out :thumb:

Basel beat Roma away! :eek2:

Not to mention the fact that Arsenal have scored 14 goals so far in the tournament!

Hopefully Arsenal slip up away :|coffee

Today's Champions League matches:

Barcelona v FC Copenhagen, GpD, 19:45
FC Twente v Werder Bremen, GpA, 19:45
Inter Milan v Tottenham, GpA, 19:45
Lyon v Benfica, GpB, 19:45
Manchester United v Bursaspor, GpC, 19:45
Panathinaikos v Rubin Kazan, GpD, 19:45
Rangers v Valencia, GpC, 19:45
Schalke 04 v Hapoel Tel-Aviv, GpB, 19:45

Good luck Copenhagen away to Barcelona! I'm looking forward to Inter Milan v Tottenham actually - defending champions against our new Champions League team. Harry Redknapp at the San Siro, never thought I'd say that  It will be interesting to see how Tottenham do against one of the best European teams (arguably THE best European team, since they're defending champions :neulol: , although they're not as good now after Mourinho left)!

Spuds showing their class.
Well, they did in the second half! Their start was laughable, but they did well with 10 men in the second half! Bale's three goals all looked the same, incredible! I think they could possibly win at White Hart Lane!

Matchday 3: Part 2 results

Panathinaikos 0 Rubin Kazan 0
Rangers 1 Valencia 1
Barcelona 2 FC Copenhagen 0
Twente 1 Werder Bremen 1
Schalke 3 Hapoel Tel-Aviv 1
Manchester United 1 Bursaspor 0
Inter Milan 4 Tottenham 3
Lyon 2 Benfica 0

Some good goals tonight! Messi's first goal, Jurado for Schalke and Bale's three identical goals! See Zhirkov's yesterday too!

Good point for Rangers, although apparently they could have got a win at Ibrox so a draw must be disappointing. Not really any shocks today.

If that that was Benitez at Liverpool with a 4-0 lead no doubt the result would have been 4-0. Inter don't have the players to sit out on a lead tbh.

Spuds won win at WHL though, Benitez will be able to set up his team to counter attack if Spuds come out fighting.

Have to say, Real Madrid looked very good against Milan. Broke them down quite easily, Mourinho is starting to show his worth now. Early favourites perhaps?
