Matchday 21

Posted Image
Chelsea went from 1-2 down to 3-2, but fell asleep at the back in the final moments to draw 3-3...

Results

Birmingham 0 Arsenal 3
Liverpool 2 Bolton 1
Manchester City 1 Blackpool 0
Stoke 2 Everton 0
Sunderland 3 Blackburn 0
Tottenham 1 Fulham 0
West Brom 1 Manchester United 2
West Ham 2 Wolves 0

Chelsea 3 Aston Villa 3
Wigan 0 Newcastle 1

Table

Table

Manchester United continue to top the table, level on points with neighbours Manchester City. However, United have two games in hand over City (and one over Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea).

Next Fixtures

Tuesday
Blackpool v Birmingham, 20:00
Fulham v West Brom, 20:00
Manchester United v Stoke, 20:00

Wednesday
Arsenal v Manchester City, 19:45
Aston Villa v Sunderland, 19:45
Newcastle v West Ham, 19:45
Wolves v Chelsea, 19:45
Blackburn v Liverpool, 20:00
Bolton v Wigan, 20:00
Everton v Tottenham, 20:00

...and finally

Who watched Chelsea-Aston Villa then? It's so annoying to dominate but never score! :wall: Our penalty was soft, I admit. Villa's penalty was deserved. We then went 1-2 down before leading 3-2! It was a great comeback and the reaction by the players said it all. Then it just had to happen... the defence fell asleep and Villa scored in the final moments to draw 3-3. Argh. It was a better performance though than recent times, so that's a positive. Still, a draw and fifth place...

Come on Chris. That match was an epic one. Only listened on talksport, but it was great. Villa deserved it so much.

Chelsea's falling, brilliant :neuwine: Apparently, Drogba had a few words with Terry afterwards as well, a sign of things to come :neuclap:

As for Arsenal, we have to keep this up :neuwine:

Sad result for the werewolf :neuneu:

To be all honest, I've never been so sad after seeing Chelsea and Spurs lose, after our poor performance. Cos it was poor as long as you don't score. And Sagna - what the hell was that? van Persie, come on. That last freekick - that was a possition for a crosser, not a shot, dammit. Certainly not a good night for London teams as West Ham lost 5-0 too.

Tottenham lost. Arsenal-City drew. Chelsea lost.

God is still United fan. What a big shock.

Liverpool losing as well - Gerrard even missed a penalty. Hodgson is out now for sure.

Can't even be bothered to comment on Chelsea's performance - I'll just be repeating myself. At least Arsenal and Manchester City drew, which is what we wanted, and Spurs (and Liverpool) lost. This would have been the perfect time to catch up with the others, but no, we can't even beat Wolves.

Ooooh, big news! Roy Hodgson has left Liverpool by "mutual consent"! Kenny Dalglish will take over until the end of the season - thoughts, Liverpool fans?

Liverpool were in poor form, but I would have given him more time.
