You're a lucky cunt IMO, that last minute penalty by Dempsey (      !) was supposed to screw up Luiz's performance :|

Luiz was outstanding up until then (and no, I'm not being biased)!

Can't complain about the 2 week rest for Sunderland :point: , but we needed this break really. We need to come back strong off it and pick up as many points as possible or else face being in a mid-table fight. :wall:

I know it was a while ago, but good luck with your injury prone player, Chelsea.. He was nothing for us lately anyway.

But really Liverpool.. Andy Carroll?

Sunderland have recorded a pre-tax loss of £27.9million, latest figures have revealed.

The annual report and financial statements of Sunderland Limited for the year ended 31st July, 2010 show losses rose by £1.4million on the previous year.

The Black Cats' turnover increased from £64.6million to £65.4million, but the club's investment in the playing squad has pushed the Premier League outfit further into the red.

Gross transfer fees of £28million, excluding wages, were committed during the summer, although neither a club record £13million swoop for striker Asamoah Gyan nor the sales of Kenwyne Jones to Stoke, Marton Fulop to Ipswich or Martyn Waghorn to Leicester are included in the figures.

In addition, the Wearside club stand to receive a total of £24million from Aston Villa for striker Darren Bent after his January move.

However, Sunderland used some of that cash to sign Stephane Sessegnon from Paris St Germain for £6million and Sulley Muntari arrived on loan from Inter Milan with a view to completing a permanent transfer in the summer.

Risk

The report states: "The directors consider the major risk of the business to be a significant period of absence from the FA Premier League.

"Ongoing investment in the playing squad aims to reduce this risk."

A loan of £19million from owner Ellis Short was capitalised - or transferred into shares - in November 2009, and the Texan has since injected interest free-loans of £22.4million and £6million and promised his continued support.

Wages accounted for £46.63million, a rise of £2.5million on the previous year, while the club's directors were paid a total of £1.12million, a fall of £821,000.

The highest-paid director - who is not named in the report - collected £325,678, down from £888,142.

Chairman Niall Quinn has been vociferous in recent weeks over those fans who choose to watch the club's home games via illegal broadcasts in the city's pubs.

The figures show that gate receipts fell from £13.88million in 2009 to £12.6million during the reporting period, although television and media payments increased by almost £4million.

Sunderland are currently seventh in the Premier League, but have faltered slightly in recent weeks on the back of three successive league defeats.

Since Norwegian TV are cunts and I'm not willing to pay to watch UCL, I have to struggle with Bloomfield Road tonight, but certainly not a bad choice. Blackpool-Tottenham has been quite good.

Once again, Blackpool and Charlie Adam are making trouble for the big teams. 2-0 up at half time, so let's see if they can keep it through the second half. That's gold for Chelsea and Manchester City, eh.

DJ Campbell scored after a nice counter-attack, but it should have been ruled out for offside. Spurs leading the shot statistics with 8-5, but Blackpool has been effective. Clear penalty for 1-0, nothing to discuss. Might have fell a bit easy, but he was clearly kicked down.

Looking forward to the second half, I guess Spurs will score some time and then there will be match again! I predict 3-1, though.

The most undeserved 3-0 defeat I've ever seen, though!

The man of the day is Richard Kingson. What a match from him! Aaron Lennon was great for Tottenham, created a good bunch of chances against a good Blackpool defence, but Kingson had a few amazing saves.

Come to the other side of North London, Lennon :neuwine: (and take Kingson with you as well)

Hahaha, Blackpool had not kept the zero at home this season, and then Pavluchenko scored at 92:57! Got a deflection, a shot from 20 meters :P Gutted!

But still, three points for Blackpool, advancing five places on the table. Keygame in the EPL, maybe Blackpool saved the spot with these points and maybe Spurs sliped up?

Good night for Chelsea, winning in Denmark as well.

Hopefully, it won't be a good night for United then!

Arsenal with an important fixture coming up - Stoke at home. John Carew is on fire recently, hopefully we can stop him from getting to much space in the air. I don't like Stoke at all, they defend very well and can grab a point here or even three if they are lucky.

This is a match that can finish 4-0 and 0-1. Hopefully we score first, otherwise it will be hard (although, we have come back a few times this season and messed up a few leads...)

Three points is a must! We CAN'T drop points against small sides now!

Kick-off in a minute - let's go!

Thank God! Stoke did really, really well. It started so good for us, hitting the post after a minute, and then Squillaci scored a header after five minutes. However, when Fabregas went out, nothing worked. Carew came close and played a good match. We had no control of him. I'm sure he is fit for Norway-Denmark later!

Yeesss, three points! One point behind United now...

A good win, but I hope Fabregas will be good for the final because apparently Walcott is out

...and finally

I think it's between United and Arsenal for the title now, but I'm still thinking it's more likely to be United's title. If Chelsea beat United home and away though then the title race and battle for the Champions League places will be very interesting! United face us twice, Liverpool... Arsenal could actually do this!

Sunderland next then. There have been seasons where we have failed to beat them, so it's a hard side. Smells a draw so badly.
