If Liverpool are in the relegation zone at Christmas, I'm gonna put a £1 bet on them to go down and a £2 bet for them to survive, maybe a £3 bet for them to finish in the top half of the table depending on the points gap. |

Theres bigger stuff going on than a 9 point deduction. Hicks and Gillette (mainly Hicks) being utter cunts and cant accept a sale and in the progress are ruining the club on and off the field. Their stupidness is shown though: - Firstly they tried to remove Purslow and Ayre despite signing a contract saying only Broughton could make changes to the board. - They lose the court case and the right to appeal - Immedately after they go to a Texas "court" to get a restraing order on the sale of the club ( http://www.scribd.com/doc/39284612/Liverpool-TRO ) ( This being the judge: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JJTEScfnDkU ) - They still claim that Purslow and Ayre arent a part of the board. - If you look on the second to last page they tried to stop the proper Liverpool board from "Taking any action in any other court to effect or impede this lawsuit" and it was rejected by this Texan "judge" - Their main arguement is the value of the club (taken from Forbes) which is masiively over the realistic value due to it being calculated ridiculously wrong (Highlighted here: http://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=264621.0 ) - They are now trying to sue RBS/Broughton for 1 Billion.

I think they took it to the Texan court in an attempt to stop the sell and attempt to even get more profit. As for the point deduction, tomorrow. |

There is only a point deduction if RBS feel they wont get their money back. Hicks have until 4PM tomorrow to respond as that bullshit they made up in Texas has no effect in the UK and the takeover will be done tomorrow. NESV will be owners by tomorrow apparently. They are in court in Dallas at the moment, to try and appeal that the Liverpool board impeded their "restating order" but that was turned down. Gillette is in London talking to lawyers as well, maybe they are going to concede finally. |
