Estonia are in the play-offs! Estonia are joined by Turkey, Republic of Ireland, Croatia, Montenegro, Portugal and the Czech Republic. Sweden qualify automatically as best runner's up. These teams will be joined by either France or Bosnia & Herzegovina - most likely Bosnia, as it's 1-1 with 4 minutes to go in Paris. Imagine if Estonia and Montenegro reached the finals! |

France drew 1-1 with Bosnia & Herzegovina, so here are the qualifiers and runner's up: Group winners Germany Russia Italy France Netherlands Greece England Denmark Spain Runner's up (who advance to the play-offs) Turkey Republic of Ireland Estonia Bosnia & Herzegovina Croatia Montenegro Portugal Czech Republic - Sweden automatically advance as best runner's up. - Poland and Ukraine have already qualified as hosts. Spain, Germany, Netherlands have all qualified - not surprising really. I thought Croatia would win their group so perhaps it's a little surprising to see Greece qualify automatically ahead of them. I thought Portugal would win the group too, so same for Denmark. The play-offs are where it gets interesting - Estonia, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Montenegro! The seedings will probably mean they face the bigger teams, but good luck to them! The draw for the play-offs is on Thursday at 1300 CET. |

We're off to the euros  My internet cut off (pissed) then when it came back on I saw the replay of Dzeko's goal (more pissed), then the revolt in the second half, I thought I was going to have a heart attack, phew  We had a shitty first half, it was ridiculous, Rami was ass  It took boos from the fans at halftime and Blanc to ram home the message: We can't afford to fuck up now FFS  They came out in the second half firing - Menez especially was a thorn in their ass! Then Martin came on and you know what he's capable of  We got the penalty after Menez (I think - was too excited once the ref pointed to the spot  ) was brought down just inside the area and Nasri put it cool and calm to Begovic's right for 1-1. Deserved qualification, the play-offs would've been murder

Well, what can I say? We beat Iceland and Cyprus twice, surprising actually. We even beat Portugal at home too! Only a draw at home to Denmark ruined, as we lost to them both away from home. Euro 2012 from the TV again. I wonder what other European nations who haven't been in tournaments since 2000. I can only think of Iceland, Finland, Lithuania, Faroe Islands, Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, San Marino, Andorra, Malta, Cyprus, Moldova, Montenegro, Hungary. Fuck. |

France pretty luck eh  Great stuff Estonia! Amazing they're in the playoffs! I think UEFA is seeding the draw though, so I'm sure it'll be Portugal, Czech, Turkey, Croatia through

Play-off draw Turkey v Croatia Estonia v Republic of Ireland Montenegro v Czech Republic Bosnia & Herzegovina v Portugal Great draw for Ireland! Perhaps it's a good draw for Estonia too as they've avoided Croatia, Portugal and the Czech Republic - bigger teams I think. Ireland should go through though. Turkey v Croatia, oooh! Open tie I think, but I'll go for Croatia. Montenegro-Czech Republic - difficult for the Czechs, but I think they'll go through. Bosnia v Portugal - going for a Portugal win here, but Bosnia definitely aren't easy! |
