The (50 over) World Cup shouldn't be reduced though and it should remain as the top tournament which everyone wants to win. It's a World Cup - the non-test playing teams should be in there too. We want more nations playing cricket so we've got to let them in. Less Twenty20s should be played and the international tournaments should have longer breaks in between.

If it is just one game it is not a very good idea tbh cause the game is more than likely to be decided on the coin toss, especially with the first one apparently at Lords. Think it's stupid tbh, would rather see the ranking points be reset for this "test championship" and every 4 years the top 2 teams from the 4 year period play a series in a neutral country. Anyway, County Championship is on the last round, rain is spoiling it though tbh, so looks like Somerset are going to win it due to them being able to play.

He's been injured for ages anyway and was never as good as he was in 2005, so the news doesn't really surprise me really. It's as if he's been retired for a while anyway.
