Yeah but does Ireland have a consistant batting lineup? Zimbabwe started well against NZ then lost the last 8 or 9 wickets for about 16 runs. Given Ireland's batting against WI, it was always a long shot. Regarding the semis I'm not sure who I'd pick. I'd say most of the test nations (except Bangladesh) are in with a shot. Although SA & NZ have a weak tournament history in terms of trophies, but it would be nice to see something new. That said, England haven't won any major tournament, and they haven't had a full match in this tournament to carry any form from. edit: watching SA against Afghanistan, I'd say SA have a lot of work to do if they even make the semis. Just realised that this prediction can't actually happen. Sri Lanka, Australia and India are all in the same super 8 group, so only two of them can go through. The groups will be: Group E: Pakistan NZ South Africa (unless Afghanistan beats them today )England Group F: Australia Sri Lanka India West Indies So with those groups in mind (remember, two go through from each group), what are everyone's picks for the semi final & final? |

Oh my god. If those groups for the Super 8's are correct then I predict Pakistan, South Africa, Australia and India to go through to the semi-finals. |

Great result, but I still think we'll mess up in the final. England with a cricket trophy - doesn't sound right!
