Hahaha dear diary, love it! What a picture

A great preview once again. I really hope others are reading if they're not going to post!

Sooo, Rosenborg v Stabaek. I predict 2-1. Being there to report on the Kjernen and the atmosphere is cool. How much attention will you pay to the match though!? Cool that you have to sign in etc before - I wish I could do this at the brua! :|

Predictions for this round (and if the games have already started, I haven't looked at the scores yet, so forgive me if I'm right :| ):

Haugesund 2 Sarpsborg 1
Molde 1 Tromso 1
Sogndal 2 Odd Grenland 2
Start 2 Godset 0
Rosenborg 2 Stabaek 1
(I think Lillestrom-Brann is on Monday - 2-2 here).

I said I'd post a table prediction, so here goes:

1. Valerenga
2. Rosenborg
3. Viking
4. Stabaek
5. Tromso
6. Molde
7. Brann
8. Start
9. Lillestrom
10. Aalesund
11. Odd Grenland
12. Stromsgodset
13. Fredrikstad
14. Haugesund
15. Sogndal
16. Sarpsborg 08

I've probably contradicted myself with what I said after your individual team previews about where they'll finish, but these are my final league table predictions :neushades:

Just looking at Rosenborg's squad makes me think Valerenga will win. Rosenborg's squad looks too thin now! I don't know why I predicted Stabaek that high, especially after their thrashing in the last round :neuthink:

Finally home from a cool day and a horrible game! :P I got to stand with the press behind the goal taking pictures and be CLOSE to the action. Amazing! Too bad they didn't score while I stood there, maybe I stressed them...

An interesting matchday this, better read my report tommorrow!

Round 2
Posted Image
Red Card: Adam Kwarasey Larsen got sent off for Godset - after eight minutes! See how their 17 year old replacer did.

The second round was a goalfull round where Start overtook the lead (unless LSK win today), Rosenborg was defeated again and Solskjær got his first point.

Strømsgodset started the league with a win two weeks ago, but fell massivly yesterday, due to a debatable penalty and a red card - after eight minutes!

Define a good start to a game. I guess you won't conclude that getting your goalkeeper sent off before ten minutes are gone, is a good start. Their keeper Adam Larsen tackled Espen Hoff inside the box, and the referee awarded the homeside a penalty - and a red card for Adam Larsen. The highlights shows that he did hit the ball, so both things were a bad call. Strømsgodset then had to replace the keeper, and their second choice was 17 year old. Herman Rhoden couldn't save the penalty, and he had to pick five other balls out of the nets too. But he did in fact do well, with some good saves! Their defending was extremely poor, and Start can fly on top - at least before tonight's game.

Penalty or not?
Red card or not?

Herman Rhoden to Start's local paper

It looked like a bad call, which ruins the match for us. But I'm partly happy with my own game, although it's hard to be all happy when you concede five goals.

Start did well, we can say that, even though they played 11 v 10 for 80 minutes. Jesper Mathisen believes in top three for his side.

Mathisen to VG

Of-course we can finish top three. I presume eight teams can.

Ole Gunnar Solskjær got the worst start in round one, when they lost 3-0 to the new promoted side, Sarpsborg08. In the weekend, they had visitors from a mighty Tromsø side, with an old goalscorer hunting for records. Sigurd Rushfeldt has now just three goals up to the top, after giving Solskjær a new cold shower.

It didn't even take three minutes, and Ole was getting worried again. "Rush" won an airduel and sent the northern side to the sky. 0-1, in what must be considered as a top game. But just when Molde needed a goal, don't you think the Senegalese combinations came in action, to give Molde their first goal of the season. It was a lucky goal, though, as Thioune lay down as he, by a coincidence, hit the ball with his wheel to flick the ball through to Diouf. A geniusly lucky pass, and Diouf did nothing wrong there. You've got to see the goal later!

Molde did very well after that, playing good, offensive and entertaining football. They let the ball roll, and were unlucky not to score their second, or even third. But the pressure finally paid off after 56 minutes, when a new African scored. Ironcally enough, this goal was kinda lucky too, as Angan scored with his knee after a corner. Nothing to say, though, as it was very deserved!

However, Adam returned from paradise three minutes later, when Kara made it 2-2, which was the final score. A good Senegalese day in Molde!

Solskjær deserved all the points here, but at least he got his first point!

Ole and Tromsø's manager Per Mathias Høgmo

Surrealistic scenes in Trondheim last night, as Rosenborg lost again. In the previous two seasons, they have lost a total ONE match. After two rounds of this season, they have still not grabbed any points.

It seemed so good for Rosenborg, when Bakenga scored after three minutes. Him and Prica combined well, but Prica missed his chance. Bakenga came from behind, to put the ball in an open net. His second of the season!

But the dream start didn't last. Stabæk made it 1-1 in the middle of the first half - although, their goal should have been ruled out for an offside. Jørgen Hammer the goalscorer for "de Blaa".

In spite of Rosenborg creating the chances, the away side got the winner with 15 minutes left to play. Substitute Gilles Ondo was on the right place to the right time, after Mix Diskerud had hit the bar. Rosenborg's second loss in a row was a fact, and only Sogndal and Aalesund have done worse so far.

Stabæk celebrating at Lerkendal.

In Haugesund, the hometeam proved their quality again by beating Sarpsborg 4-2, after being 4-0 up. Haugesund only lost once at home last season, and they seem to be good in 2011 too!

Odd were the first visitors in Sogndal this season, and they left the homeside with no points after winning 1-4. A stunning freekick from Torgeir Børven, the 19 year old I mentioned in the presentation, gave Oddrane the lead in a match with many nice goals. The pitch couldn't have been worse to be honest, but both teams managed to create good chances and goals. Worth a see! Frode Johnsen has returned as well, and he scored his first goal in the comeback, before Midtgarden scored after only two minutes on the field.

You better see the goal of the round this week by the way, cos there will be some absolute good ones!

Rosenborg lost again! They've been dominant for too long so it's about time they lost a few. Welcome to the real world :P Bakenga scored again, so there's a positive from these defeats. How did Hoiland and Larsen do in defence together, Marius?

Not sure about the penalty - I'm kind of thinking it was a penalty. Larsen stuck his legs out and the player tumbled. Looks like a penalty to me  A 17 year old replacement - there's hope for you, Kev!

Predictions for the next round:

Stabæk - Vålerenga
Brann-Fredrikstad
Strømsgodset-Odd
Sarpsborg-Sogndal
Tromsø-Start
Aalesund-Haugesund
Rosenborg - Lillestrøm
Viking-Molde

Rosenborg will get back to winning ways next week :neuman:

It's hard to say. I guess some referees would have let it go. Penalty rules are hard, but I don't think it should be penalty AND red card. The rules says so, but it shouldn't be that way!

Rosenborg lost again :eek2:  I know Gilles Ondo, he was on trial at Sydney (would've made a great catch for Amiens if the scouts had some brains  ), not bad at all :neuwine: He scored alot of goals in Iceland I think, so expect the same here (even if Norway's football is better).

Adam Kwarasey - I heard Ghana were looking at him for the future. Poor decision for Godset this weekend eh.

I think Enga will shit on Stabaek :neuwine:

Aight, gaylords, been a bit busy, but now I'm back, ready to give you a quick overview of the second round with team of the round, goals of the round, and vids of all games, if they're available.

The third round has started, and there have been some shocking scores. More of that after the second round overview.

In 24 hours from now, I'll be at the press stand at Lerkendal, covering Rosenborg v Lillestrøm. Can't wait!

Yo yo yo, I promised to tell about last week's experience at Lerkendal!

Rosenborg - Stabæk, the match that was going to prove that the defeat in Bergen was a slip. I went there with a friend from my class to write a reportage. He went to write about football fans in general, I went to write about Kjernen.

SML cameras are not allowed at Lerkendal, unless you get this photo suit, so we contacted RBK and we got it! With that suit, we didn't only get to take pics from the stand, but also from the area besides the goal etc! Along with the press photographs! Awesome! Even though they had much better cameras etc, it was cool only to stand there and see the action close! I must admit that it was scray to take pics as the players made a shot, as I got targeted a few times. I remember one shot, I kept taking pics, and didn't realaize that the ball suddenly aimed for me! Only just flew beside me and BANG into the adverts behind me!

A shame no goals were scored when we were there. We saw the first half with Kjernen, to get action pics from there. 1-1 at HT, then we moved down and Stabæk scored the winner in the other end. We could hear their goalkeeper turn around and scream when Ondo scored

Well well, here are the pictures! :point:
