Round 3 Has already started with Vålerenga and Brann both losing 1-0, to Stabæk and Fredrikstad. Two shocking scores to be honest, and this season has really started unpredictable. Tromsø and Start are the only unbeaten teams left, and one of them might become the only one tommorrow, as they are head to head in Tromsø. After three rounds, there should be more than one unbeaten side... I know we say it before every season, but THIS SEASON is by far the closest and weird results will probably come throughout the year. But it's fun, isn't it? Vålerenga lost their derby 1-0 in Telenor Arena, due to a horrible owngoal by Strandberg, who used his head to win the game for Stabæk. What was he doing there!? Fredrikstad pissed on Brann today as well, and I think the joy is over for Brann. This game was the first of the season where they were favourites and they failed. Tommorrow, these games will be played: Four games to begin at 6:00, and these are: Tromsø - Start. Top match at Alfheim. Tromsø are a very good side at home, and Start will probably fall a bit down after their big win last week. I predict a homewin here, but Start has done well so far! Having said that, they have been much up and down the later seasons. Strømsgodset - Odd. Two teams that have won one and lost one - midtable sides. Strømsgodset are greater at home than away, so this is a test for the visitors. A draw? Sarpsborg - Sogndal. Sogndal haven't won yet, but the winners of last season's Adecco should take this one. I know Sarpsborg did well in the first round, but... It's Sogndal's turn now, isn't it? Aalesund - Haugesund. The homeside had a good 2010, but this season has started off with no points. Anything but a win against this Haugesund side, who is weak away from home, is a scandal. Will the pressure stop Aalesund? At 8:00, it's time for Rosenborg-Lillestrøm. The match Chris and I went to in 2009 (2-1 win). That should be great, as I have got press card for this match! My journalist school has a visitor from Southampton, John May, who has worked many years for BBC Sports. He will teach us in sport journalism tommorrow and Monday! CAN'T WAAAAAIT I'll be at school tommorrow (Sunday!) at 5, and he will give us some information before we go to Lerkendal to see the match at 8. I think they said something like that some of us will be in the press stand, and some of us will be by the field, taking pictures. Should be fun, anyway!We will be writing three texts - one preview, one report and one case where we have sourches. We have even got promise to be in the mixed zone after the game! Interview players, managers and referees. I can't wait for tommorrow! And this great derby as well! (I bet it will finish 0-0 or 0-1, and I have to cover a new defeat )At Monday morning, we'll be at school 8AM, so don't expect a report before I'm back! Stay tuned, I love the season so far! (Although, we haven't really picked any points yet... )And of-course, since I wrote my preview to John May in English, I'll share it with you. Follow my game on livescore or VG Live tommorrow!

Important derby to end Rosenborg crisis?![]() Defending champions Rosenborg BK had a total one defeat during the previous two seasons. Two rounds into the new season, they have lost twice as many. Text and photo: Marius Dahl The results have turned it’s back to the Norwegian giant’s new head coach, Jan Jönsson, who saw his former club (Stabæk) defeat Rosenborg 1-2 at home in the weekend. Next opponent Lillestrøm SK beat the same side 7-0 in the league opener. - I’m looking for stability in the defence. We’ll charge the team with trainings and energy, so we can get fresh confidence to the match against Lillestrøm, said Jönsson to rbk.no. Conceding 25 goals during the last nine games, people have questioned the quality of Rosenborg’s defence. The club has failed to replace the defensive general Anthony Annan, who left for FC Schalke04 in February. Since last year, both of the central defenders Vadim Demidov (Sociedad) and Kris Stadsgaard (Malaga) has left as well. Even though the homeside has lost many keyplayers, Jan Jönsson will be under pressure unless he quickly ends the row of defeats. To discover the last time Rosenborg were with no points after three rounds, we have to og back to 1977 – a season that brings back bad memories for the homefans. That was Rosenborg’s last relegation… Anthony Ujah have allready scored five goals in the new season for Lillestrøm, and should be a natural threat for RBK’s new defense at Sunday night. Mattias Bjärsmyr played quite a few games for the homeside after he arrived the club in August last year. He also wore the jersey in the opening game of this season, but after the pity 2-1 defeat in Bergen, he had to see Jon Inge Høiland replace him and pair up with Jim Larsen. Høiland has to plans to give his spot away. - I’m in good shape, and I’ve trained well this winter. I want to revenge that loss in the weekend, said Høiland to rbkweb.com. Lillestrøm too suffered with defeat in the weekend, 1-4 at home to SK Brann. That was a massive crash for the side who were in seventh heaven after the opening round. Former Blackburn- and Manchester United defender Henning Berg has coached LSK since 2008, without taking the club to the height the fans expects. Lerkendal has not been a target for sucsess for the visitors in the previous derbies. Since 1981, the ”Kanaris” have only won once in Trondheim – back in Rosenborg’s nightmare season of 2005, that ended a total 13 season with domestic league titles, with an embarrassing 7th place. Last season’s derby finished as a goalles tie – a match where both teams missed unbelievable chances. Especially Rosenborg’s Mikael Lustig missed a great opportunity, when he missed the target from two meters. However, the Swedish international scored the winner when the same sides faced each other in July 2010. He also scored in Rosenborg’s last win against Lillestrøm at home – in 2009. |

4-4 What an INCREDIBLE night of football it was last night! A fantastic evening! Although... we can't win! We're still not in the relegation zone, though, unless Molde takes a point tonight. Will give a match report and round report later. Let me just say: EIGHT goals, great comebacks, controvertial situations, debatable penalty, lots of yellow cards, an owngoal and Rade Prica scoring four. What a game. What a league.

Viking and Molde drew 2-2, now we're in the danger zone. Dammit. Anyway, here is my match report. Enjoy. Tommorrow, there will be a matchday report, so stay tuned! Lillestrøm denied Prica party Rosenborg came back from 1-3 to lead 4-3 after Rade Prica scored four goals for a hard-pressed side. Then a debatable corner decision stole the attention – and two points for the home side, when Frode Kippe equalized four minutes into injury time. Eight goals, four from Prica, seven yellow cards, debatable goals, own goals and injury time drama. The 2011 edition of the classic Rosenborg-Lillestrøm derby was a real cracker. Erling Knudtzon opened the show after 15 minutes, when he was sent through the Lillestrøm defence, to score his first ever goal for Lillestrøm. Nine minutes later, Rade Prica evened the score line, with a rocket from 20 metres out. His first goal of the season obviously gave Rosenborg the spirit they needed. Just a good Stefan Magnusson separated Rosenborg from the lead, when Mikael Lustig had a nice attempt from the side of the box. The second half exploded early, and the fans had just found their seats when Lillestrøm were back in front. Rosenborg lost the ball on their way up, and the counter-attack ended with an own-goal from Trond Olsen, who smashed the goal in his own net when he tried to clear it -a ball never aimed at goal. Only four minutes later, Lillestrøm added another one to Rosenborg’s shame list over easy conceded goals. Their brand new defending line has conceded not less than 25 goals in their previous nine games – before last night’s match. And there was lots of space when Nosa Igiebor got through the defence like a hot knife in butter. His third goal of the season and Lillestrøm’s third of the night. After an hour, two penalty situations started discussions over the entire Norway. First, Rosenborg’s Mikael Lustig fell when Espen Søgård put his foot out. The Swedish international overplayed, but there was definitely contact. Then, Rosenborg were luckier, as Stefan Gislason pushed Jon Inge Høiland over into the box – to give Rosenborg a penalty. Rade Prica, however, was nothing to discuss. He did everything right from the spot, to put Rosenborg back into the game. Rade Prica’s evening was just getting better after 70 minutes. Markus Henriksen did a great job on the wing, to send a crosser that Mushaga Bakenga failed to reach after an overhead kick. However, the ball only just got the hit it needed to find it’s road to Rade Prica, who sent the ball home to complete his hat-trick. Rosenborg hunted for the winning goal, and it had to be Rade Prica who completed the turn-around when he dribled through the visitor’s defense to score a fantastic goal two minutes from the end. His fourth strike – that gave an electric atmosphere at Lerkendal. But this really was the match for the history book – also for Lillestrøm. Three minutes into the overtime, the “Kanaribirds” won a corner, that ended up hitting the post. Frode Kippe was there on the return, to score the equalaiser – and to complete an epic night at Lerkendal. |

Marius's corner: Not very neutral ![]() Just ginger My personal corner! And what a day it was for me and my class mates! WHAT A DAY! Epic peace of shit! Last week, we got the news from our teacher saying there would be a visitor from England, John May, who has worked for BBC Sport (covered the 2006 World Cup final ) to come and teach us in sport journalism. The sports section is not a part of the studies (I have only chosen to write sports when there have been free cases), so we didn't have to. There was only 14 out of the 60 1st and 2nd year students who wanted (many girls etc), though. Oh, and did I mention, he was from Southampton!The structure was clear: Write a preview to Rosenborg-Lillestrøm by Thursday, go to the match at Sunday and then have classes with John (and some other woman he brought that was quite cool). Monday morning, we'd write two match reports - one with quotes. Met up at our school at Sunday afternoon (first time I've ever been to school at a Sunday), greeted John, who by the way called me Marcus the first hours. Borrowed a shite camera from school, which resulted in shite pictures from the match. Not even tempted to show you, but we did have some fun with them today. I even failed to get the ball in my picture when Prica scored the 1-1 goal, hahaha. We had a good laugh right there. Anyway, John was cool, and he had never been to Norway before, so this was his first match over here. He actually covered a match at Saturday btw, I think it was Preston or something. Because of him, I have the accent in my head now, it's annoying when I write! ![]() He had actually seen Rosenborg before though, as soon as in 1969! They were the first team to play Southampton in a European Club Competition, so he remembered us! He asked if I knew the score and I said "Hmm...Think we won at home, but lost the total scoreline". It was right! We won 1-0 at home, but lost 2-0 away. But then I said it was in the early 70's, and he corrected me saying it was 1969, and he also added: "Sort out your facts, boy" Going to the press stand at Lerkendal was cool, we got a short talk with Rosenborg's media boss Nils Heldal who taught us some rules. Not allowed to use flash, not allowed to take pics from the press stand (you have to be by the ground!), and when going to the mixed zone, we had to let the proper journalists ask questions first. No problem, for us it was huge just to be there! Found some good seats at the press stand, just in front of the commentator boxes where the TV2 people were, and we had a great view. Was tempted to just be there, but I went down to the field to get pics in the first half. Pity first half, especially with the shite camera I couldn't understand. Next time I'll use my own! 1-1 at HT, but the real highlight was the half time. Went up to the press again, and guess what! FREE FOOD! As a student, I'm used to just eat a little, so I could have eaten my family. We really raped the tables of food there, I got wraps, hot dogs, sweets and some donuts. Must have added a few kilos those 15 minutes, but meh. Grabed some snack for the second half as well! The classic moment was when this dude in my class grabed the last hot dog from the plate, and behind him, Rosenborg's former sports director Rune Bratseth came to get one. Empty. Too late there, Bratseth. Had just found our seats when LSK went 1-2 and 1-3 up. Was hard to stay neutral, though. The last thing John said before we went there was "KEEP NEUTRAL!", cos otherwise we can be thrown out. It's different in Norway, though. I saw this journalist from Lillestrøm cheering when Olsen put the ball in the own net. I tried to be proffesional, but when he scored the own goal I yelled "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?". John said tsk tsk to Olsen and compared him to Riise. Didn't believe in a comeback after 1-3, but what do you know. I even wrote "piss team" in my notes after that. I sat next to two other RBK fans, plus this other dude who went with me to the Stabæk match last week. Just when we discussed how weak we were and how much we sucked, we got the penalty. I told the other ones we'd miss, but Prica did his job. Great. Olsen off in the 69th, and we score in the 70th. Prica has scored three. We celebrated. Who can be neutral. Jan and I complained how we didn't go to the Kjernen for this match instead - the reportage would have been better with this atmosphere! Although - there should have been more people to the game. 11.717. What's happening? This used to be the big derby, but they keep ignoring us. I know we've been shite, but in 2005, when Rosenborg ended the 13 years of titles with a 7th place, we had a personal record of fans to the games. Because the league was thrilled again. Certainly not the same effect this time. The TV deal has to be blamed. People find it better to see it from television, since the build-up and advertising is good. I'd never choose the TV over the live show, though. I hate the TV deal. Get out. As if that's not enough, some of the fans even boo-ed at 1-3, and clapped when we got back to 3-3 Fuck off, glory hunters. Get out.Not only the seats were empty - Rosenborg had only five out of seven subs available. This squad is so week. Kjernen kept singing that Hoftun, our sports director, should go. We have so failed to replace Annan. In spite of the low number, the atmosphere and the night was great. The match was awesome and we kept the pressure up. Hit the post on a freekick as well. When Prica scored the 4th, a great solo performance. Dribled away the entire LSK team, to score a rocket. In the 89th minute. That completed the night. One of my mates pinched me, trying not to scream. It could have been the best night. But for a neutral part, the night became more epic. Four minutes into the injury time. A corner. A hit of the post. A goal. Frode Kippe. 4-4. All their players ran to the fans, and 10-12 fans jumped out of the crowd and down to the ground. The police were quickly there to make sure they ruined the celebrations. But the celebrations didn't stop luckly. Come on, let them cheer! LSK celebrating Kippe's 4-4. Photo taken from their fan forums. After the epic match, we went to John, who pretended he was asleep. "Boring Norwegian football". We thought we had the best starting point for a post match report, but his quote makes sense: "Good luck to sum up this game in 500 words" Going down to the mixed zone was epic. We were kinda nervous and tried to avoid the big names first, but John told us not to be shy and go on and interview them. He was surprised how "open" Norwegian clubs are, but I love that fact. This isn't Plasticship, where you get a few minutes with one player plus the manager. This isn't plastic clubs where you need to pay to see arrogant stars training. I even got to interview the 4-4 goal hero Frode Kippe, Lillestrøm manager Henning Berg, own goal scorer Trond Olsen, as well as getting some quotes from Jönsson (who 794.000 journalists wanted to interview) and Prica! Frode Kippe was nice (I hate him as a player). He was fooled before our 4-3 goal, so I asked him why he was eating grass when Prica scored. He took it so well, smiled and said that Prica is a class striker! Olsen too, said that it was pity with the goal, but he tried to clear it, but failed. "It was fucked up" he said, hahaha. Shouldn't blame him for the goal, though, the defense was poor. Credit to Trond Olsen for that run, trying to save it. Prica'd never do that! It's been two epic days with John and an epic game. Videoes from the games, and especially our game, to come tommorrow morning. Join in and tell what's the goal of the round as well. I wonder if Prica is on the team of the round ( ). Stay tuned! |

Round 3 summary: The CRAZY league! ![]() Tippeligaen is currently turning into the most unpredictable league you can find. Photo: Nils Heldal Prica, Prica, Prica, Prica. Tippeligaen's top scorer from 2009 has woke up, scoring four goals against Lillestrøm. But his team couldn't hold it in to a win... Before the round, there were four unbeaten sides. Now there is one. Promoted sides Fredrikstad and Sarpsborg have won two out of three each. LSK have scored 12 goals in three games, but are still 9th. This is the crazy league. It started Friday night, when Stabæk beat title favourites Vålerenga 1-0 at home, thanks to a stupid own goal. The upcoming day, Brann lost 0-1 at home after having won the first two. That wasn't so surprising. But what about Rosenborg dropping two points in a 4-4 tie? What about Rade Prica scoring four, but still not being on the winning side? What about Rosenborg haven't won in five league games (ended 2010 with two draws). What about the fact that this is their worst league opener since 1977? The relegation season... Tromsø and Godset both won at home - solid homeform for both of them. Godset's manager Ronny Deila was not happy with his team's performance, though. Wonder what Odd's manager Dag-Eilev Fagermo thinks after two defeats so far. Not the form of a medal candidat! Tromsø's 38 year old striker Sigurd Rushfeldt scored again - three matches in a row and he is now only ONE goal from reaching Harald Martin Brattbakk and being the all-time top scorer in Norway! Solskjær and Molde got a point from Viking stadion too, but not enough to get their first win. Aalesund and Sarpsborg both won 1-0 at home - Aalesund even missed a penalty! Haugesund's bad away form continues. Scores: Stabæk - Vålerenga 1-0 1-0, S.Strandberg (o.g) '38 Brann - Fredrikstad 0-1 0-1, C.Borges '5 Aalesund - Haugesund 1-0 1-0, D.Phillips '19 Sarpsborg08 - Sogndal 1-0 1-0, J.Matland '2 Strømsgodset - Odd 2-0 1-0, O.Kamara '36 2-0, J.Berget '70 Tromsø - Start 2-0 1-0, M.Abdellaoue '72 2-0, S.Rushfeldt '77 Rosenborg - Lillestrøm 4-4 0-1, E.Knudtzon '15 1-1, R.Prica '27 1-2, T.Olsen (o.g) '46 1-3, N.Igiebor '49 2-3, R.Prica (p) '60 3-3, R.Prica '70 4-3, R.Prica '87 4-4, F.Kippe '90 Viking - Molde 2-2 0-1, D.Angan '5 1-1, E.Nevland '30 2-1, V.Berisha '36 2-2, D.Angan '77 The table: ![]() New leader - Tromsø IL have overtaken Start after beating them 2-0 at home. Next round: ![]() Vålerenga-Lillestrøm is the main game of the round. Photo: Sebastian Ramsland Friday, 15th of April: Haugesund - Brann. battle in the westside of Norway, between the teams I predict to relegate. Haugesund have only lost one of their last 16 homegames. A tough one. Saturday, 16th of April: Start - Viking. The homeside have already proved their varied form, going from 5-1 the other day to 0-2 the next. Viking have 1-1-1 so far as well. Sunday, 17th of April: Molde - Stabæk. Molde needs a win soon - can you do it, Solskjær? Stabæk have come nicely back after the 0-7, beating Rosenborg and Vålerenga... Odd Grenland - Aalesund. Odd's first game at home since their opening defeat. Should take Aalesund at home to be honest. Sogndal - Tromsø. Bottom vs top. Can Tromsø defend their lead or will Sogndal take their first points since October 2004? Strømsgodset - Sarpsborg08. Anything but a homewin will be surprising. Godset are solid at home, having won two out of two. Sarpsborg have not started bad either - two wins! Vålerenga - Lillestrøm. Local derby between two great fans. Vålerenga haven't lost at home for 16 games now. Lillestrøm has scored 11 goals away from home so far! Monday, 18th of April: Fredrikstad - Rosenborg. Will FFK expand the Rosenborg crisis? Fredrikstad have won both of their away games, a decent start! Not so decent for the defending champions, being in the relegation zone. Should be a good game, and guess who's going! Stunning effort from you to keep this updated, Marius! Makes a change from other threads The pictures from earlier are great quality! It's amazing that you were in the press area (and were working with a guy from Southampton) too! If Global World Sport was still around then we'd have a great report from you (nice preview and report by the way) Rosenborg in the relegation zone, wow. What a sight. Imagine winning the league after being down there though - makes it more interesting actually The defence seems so poor, but Prica! There were some great finishes in there! What a great league. I literally ed to these latest results!Thanks for the call so I could hear the Lerkendal crowd in Germany You had time to text and phone etc?!

Not a single player from Lillestrom in the team of the week! Imagine scoring 4 in a game and still not winning, and that fourth goal was ridiculous! The lot of emm ball watching as it came off the post! |

I don't know if you guys saw it, but that corner decission was debated after the match. Did the ball hit Lustig or the Lillestrøm player? Should it even have been a corner? To be honest, I don't care. Many of our fans blames the ref because he gave that corner, but it's not like he gave a penalty. Ridicilous. One of my classmates, who sat next to me, said before the corner: "You know what would be typical? :P" I was like: "Don't say it!" And when it hit the post I thought how lucky we were. Seeing the second chance go in was unreal. My mate's face was hid in his hands. All the clapping from the crowd was changed into boo-ing. Glory hunters. Oh.... |

I'll be at school tommorrow (Sunday!) at 5, and he will give us some information before we go to Lerkendal to see the match at 8. I think they said something like that some of us will be in the press stand, and some of us will be by the field, taking pictures. Should be fun, anyway!

)
Nice pictures as well

) to come and teach us in sport journalism. The sports section is not a part of the studies (I have only chosen to write sports when there have been free cases), so we didn't have to. There was only 14 out of the 60 1st and 2nd year students who wanted (many girls etc), though. Oh, and did I mention, he was from Southampton!
Fuck off, glory hunters. Get out.
). Stay tuned!

ed to these latest results!
