Round 6 summary:

Doesn't look too good for Vålerenga
Posted Image
The title favourites now haven't won since matchday 2

Brann's new star player Kim Ojo scored a double, to beat Vålerenga 2-0 away from home. While Ojo and Brann flies high - the atmosphere in Oslo and Vålerenga is bad. They were supposed to fight for the title, but three out of the four previous games have ended with defeats. Only a draw at home to Lillestrøm (only just) has given Vålerenga points since 1st of April...

In the other end of the form table is Aalesund. Do you remember matchday 2, when Vålerenga beat Aalesund 2-0? I said that Vålerenga were great, since they won even when they weren't so good. After two rounds, Enga had full score - Aalesund were with no points. Since then, however, Vålerenga haven't won and the orange team from nortwest haven't lost!

Before the round started I thought Aalesund's scores had been only fair - nothing much. I mean, they had beaten Haugesund and Sogndal (current bottom two) with 1-0 at home... This round, though, they impressed slightly more, beating Start 3-2 away from home! A fantastic freekick from Einar Jääger - should be the goal of the round! Is Aalesund a top team?

Posted Image
Jääger scoring for Aalesund - a rocket!

Rosenborg have got back on the winning tracks too, winning 2-0 at the rival's place in Molde. Our new Danish signature Jim Larsen struggled in the beginning of the season, when RBK kept letting in many goals. Now, we have kept the goal clean twice in a row (three if you count in the cup), and Larsen got his first goal in Molde too! He has had good chances, but the goal didn't come before now. But what a timing! And what a header! Great goal, which gave us the win against our rivals. Prica got the second as well, so it was a Scandinavian win for Rosenborg.

Molde really had their chances, though, and they hit the bar and post inside a few minutes in the second half!

Was great to celebrate a win there B)

Crisis continues in Sogndal and Viking. Sogndal still can't win, and drew 0-0 at home for the second time in a row. Apparently, it was a horrible match!

Was not a horrible match in Haugesund, where the homeside finally lost. In their previous homegame, they let in a goal after 7 seconds. Against Stabæk, the visitors scored after just 25 seconds! Veigar Pall Gunnarson was at the right place to the right time, to score the opening goal of a great match. Then the Ollé Ollé show began and he scored two before half-time too! Haugesund and Søderland showed power, to score both one and two before they got a very weird equalaiser, when Tom Erik Nordberg (on loan from Rosenborg) scored a lucky lucky strike. The ball was on the way away from the goal, and Nordberg had his back turned to the goal. He just kicked it up in the air, to create a new chance, but the ball dipped down towards the goal and went in via the post! Pure pure luck, and 3-3! What a comeback!

Veigar Pall Gunnarson became the great hero when he scored his second of the night just a minute later, to ruin the day for Haugesund, who yet again proved that they are a good homeside after all.

Ollé Ollé keeps scoring then - did you know Haugesund even rejected him? Failure! I want to quote him here, for what he said when journalists asked him about Haugesund not buying him:

- Too bad for them!

Posted Image
Olé Ollé Ollé!

Godset and Tromsø drew 1-1 in the very top game in Drammen, meaning the homeside stays on top and TIL stays unbeaten.

Odd finally got their homewin as well, beating Sarpsborg 1-0.

^ Don't forget the summary!

Second round of the cup to take place tonight then! Will the first cup bombs slam tonight or what!? The later seasons, some Tippeligaen sides have been knocked out here. Since the level of the league has been worse this year, I suppose we'll have some shocks.

Posted Image
Molde are playing away - at home. Træff overtook Molde's homeground in 1997 - still not changed the seats :|coffee

Birkebeineren - Strømsgodset
Bjarg - Haugesund
Bærum - Sarpsborg08
Fana - Brann
Gjøvik - Lillestrøm
Hasle/Løren - Stabæk
Kjelsås - Vålerenga
Mandalskameratene - Odd Grenland
Nesodden - Fredrikstad
Senja - Tromsø
Tornado Måløy - Aalesund
Træff - Molde
Verdal - Rosenborg
Vindbjart - Start

Battle of Drammen at Birkebeinerens stadium where league leaders and defending cup champions Godset are visitors. Should be an awaywin for sure. Bjarg takes on Haugesund in Bergen, while Sarpsborg goes to Bærum for a tough second round match. Bærum are currently second (behind Elverum eh :neushades: ) in 2.divisjon, and Sarpsborg have lost all their awaygames till now in the league...
Fana-Brann in Bergen, what a derby that will be, while Lillestrøm will be going to Mariam's former place of study: Gjøvik. I suppose the 3.divisjon side can't make trouble for an LSK side that have been doing well this season.
Stabæk to Oslo once again, this time to play Hasle/Løren. A few kilometers away, Vålerenga will visit their "rivals" Kjelsås, who are two divisions under Tippeligaen, and the evil side that kicked Elverum out two weeks ago. Can Vålerenga score more goals after their 12-1 last round, or have they robbed their goal account?
Odd to visit Mandal in south, while Fredrikstad goes to a small village a few miles off Oslo. No-one expects Tromsø to lose when they visit 2.divisjon leveled Senja in north.
Aalesund to play Tornado Måløy in west, while Molde will visit their former homeground as they're playing their city rivals Træff. Should be easy for Solskjær's men as they are three divisions under them. Rosenborg goes to Verdal to play a 3.divisjon side too, let's avoid a slam eh. Start play Vindbjart away.

Other interesting matches today is Levanger - TILLER, KRISTIANSUND - Hødd, Ranheim playing STJØRDAL away (at the ground where England U15 won eh, Chris), battle of north between Alta and Tromsdalen and Snorre's Bodø/Glimt who play Skarp at home.

Sogndal and Viking play tommorrow, and so does Kamma.

Matches to begin in 35 minutes! Come on Rosenborg and Træff!

And what do you know!? The bomb is SLAMMING at Fana stadion! FANA - BRANN 2-0!! BRANN, who beat Vålerenga in the weekend, now down 2-0 to FANA at half-time!

Fana's keeper is even just 15 years old! Oh dear, oh dear, Brann! Kev could have kept the zero tonight!

Half time scores:

Birkebeineren - Strømsgodset 1-2
Bjarg - Haugesund 0-0
Bærum - Sarpsborg08 0-2 (I thought they'd fail eh)
Fana - Brann 2-0
Gjøvik - Lillestrøm 0-0
Hasle/Løren - Stabæk 0-1
Kjelsås - Vålerenga 0-0 (struggling, enga?)
Mandalskameratene - Odd Grenland 0-1
Nesodden - Fredrikstad 0-2
Senja - Tromsø 0-0
Tornado Måløy - Aalesund 0-3
Træff - Molde 0-1
Verdal - Rosenborg 0-1
Vindbjart - Start 2-4

Tiller leads 1-0 in Levanger and shocking enough: Stjørdal 2-1 up against Ranheim!

NOW VÅLERENGA ARE 1-0 DOWN TO! AHAHAHAHAHA!

Stabæk gets one in the face as well, 1-1 there. LSK still 0-0 in Gjøvik!

Rosenborg are surely through with they being three-nill up. Tromsø have gone 2-0 up too, and Haugesund leads.

10 minutes left, Singh just scored to 1-1, but Jimmy Akinyemi (mark the name!) has put Kjelsås back 2-1 up! :notworthy: :notworthy: :notworthy:

Fana - Brann still 2-1 as I started to write - Mjelde scores a penalty! 80 minutes to score a penalty against Fana...o dear!

No tied games atm, the others are only just leading. Start 4-3 up too with ten men, same for Sarpsborg being 3-2 up...
