The first year off college feels so much than a year! I miss May 2010, just waiting for the World Cup, to be with all the friends (they are all spread now, eh).... I get a very special feeling when I hear this now. Do you too?

The Analyser Posts: 1,478 Group: Members Member #62 Joined: February 18, 2007	My 1st year of uni has gone like a flash (still got some exams left though). This time tomorrow will be exactly a year since I left college which is weird as I remember the last day very clearly. Cannot believe its been almost a year since the World Cup either but it was a shame that I had college exams late June. The world cup that I fond memory of is World Cup 1998. The 1st time I watched football. My dad showed me Zidane on tele and I was blown away so I was supporting France in this tournament. I remember Holland V Argentina very clearly still. I was having mushroom soup whilst watching it in a small television in the kitchen and then I watched Don't Try this at home after. I remember crying the morning after when I heard England lost to Argentina. I was 6 at the time so was in bed during the match. Ah fond memories.

Weird that I didn't remember the goals cos they were stunning! 1998 World Cups, yeah, too young to remember that. I was only seven and had no interess in football. A shame, cos it was our best tournament of all time Everyone in Norway remember where they were when Rekdal took that 88th minute penalty at 1-1 vs Brazil. (I don't, but it was 22:43, so I was probably asleep).

I don't think I've ever seen the whole last 3 minutes of the 1999 final before - until yesterday anyway. Sensational comeback from United against Bayern Munich! Not as good as Liverpool in 2005 though Zidane's goal against Bayer Leverkusen in 2002

And as you say, what a comeback from Liverpool! I remember the half time there, saying comebacks have happened before, but I never really thought so! Riise to - getting injured as he kicked in the ground when he sent the crosser that Gerrard headed home for 1-3. That's why he didn't take the penalty for 3-3. Before the game it was rumoered he would take the penalties for Liverpool! He was sent up for one of the ones in the shoot-out, though, but missed... Jerzey Dudek's minutes of fame! Never really heard about him after that - he is in Madrid, right? I will never forget his dancing - looked hillarious. His save in the final minutes against Sheva too. Clearly put the Ukrainan out before the shoot-outs!
