We won 3-1. Good performance from us, we seem ready for the new season. Pre-season is over for us then - every game was won and only one goal conceded!

Brilliant game it must be said. Not many players who played during the week played in the game, Davis, Wallace, McGregor, Naismith, Jelavic all played, Wallace was the only player left on for the full 90. Subbed on a lot of the boys - as did Chelsea - really impressed with the talent coming through the youth system. Jordan McMillan playing at RB was fantastic I thought! Did you watch it Chris?

 Indeed, Sturridge has been great for us! He's had a fine pre-season. There will be a competition for places up front and I hope he doesn't want to leave us. The competition for places will get 'worse' when Lukaku joins too! :lol:

 I don't believe it will get worse for Sturridge, as we seem to want him to play out wide. So his position seems to be fine, as Anelka is seemingly out of the mix right now.

 I think Anelka will come back in the competitive matches now. I'd like to see Sturridge given a go though. I think Sturridge is suspended for the first three games anyway because he got sent-off for Bolton at the end of last season...

 Sunderland drew with Hibs 0-0 yesterday, apparently a lot of trouble kicked off after the match. A section of Sunderland fans were kept locked in the pub because Hibs fans were attacking them apparently, and two SAFC fans got stabbed.......
