two trophies, many runner-ups. Posts: 3,942 Group: Members Member #29 Joined: March 28, 2006	Sadly, American Samoa's dream run has come to an end. They grabbed a deserved draw with Cook Islands earlier in the week to set up a dream final match up against big rivals Samoa, for a spot in the next round. However, Samoa grabbed a last minute winner to progress through.

Damn I read an article about them a few days back too, I didn't know their coach is Thomas Rongen - the guy who used to coach Chivas in the MLS I think. He was pretty pumped after the win Oh well, maybe next time American Samoa in Qatar? @Lee:

American Samoa, widely regarded as the worst team in world football, have won their first ever match! A fabulous 2-1 victory over Tonga. Check out the first goal American Samoa has come a long way since the 31-0 loss to Australia. The only member of that side still playing is the goalkeeper! national hero. An historic day really. Second goal was funnier. Look at the header that sets it up!
