Russia 6 USA 13 in the only game today. Welcome to World Cup rugby, Russia! They looked good at the start but then you could see how inexperienced they are. They could have made it 13-13 at the end if they got a try but it wasn't to be. USA win their World Cup final then - can't see them beating Australia or Italy... |

Crushing victory for New Zealand earlier against Japan. I guess we expected nothing less. Three matches in a few hours: Argentina v Romania, South Africa v Fiji and Australia v Ireland. The Australia match should be great with the winner likely to top the group. I've got to go with Australia for this one, but if Ireland play at their best then they could do it... |

Ireland 15 Australia 6 South Africa 49 Fiji 3 Argentina 43 Romania 8 Woaaah, Ireland beat Australia 15-6! Great performance from Ireland!  I think I actually jumped up and cheered when O'Gara put the penalty over to make it 15-6!  The tournament is wide open now! Ireland might face Wales in the quarter-finals, with one of them in the semi-final! New Zealand would maybe have to face South Africa and Australia! Ireland's match was great - best one of the tournament so far. |

England 41 Georgia 10 France 46 Canada 19 Wales 17 Samoa 10 Expected England victory. Georgia played well at times but our class came through in the end. Same for France-Canada - Canada did well in the first half! France finished them off in the second half though. |

Really poor result from Australia. Really poor, I dare say we can't win the cup now. We looked terrible and were never in it! South Africa in the QFs then.

Italy 53 Russia 17 Good win for Italy! It was weird seeing them as favourites in this match, and they absolutely thrashed Russia in the first half. They have to do better with kicks though - they haven't had a good kicker since Diego Dominguez. Russia got a few tries at least, but they're so poor

Wales nearly stopped South Africa!  Wales' kick was definitely between the posts, can't believe the referee said it was wide  Australia 67 USA 5 today then. Standard result. |

England 67 Romania 3 New Zealand 37 France 17 Standard win for England. It was definitely an improvement on our performance against Georgia. Our movement with the ball was fantastic and we scored ten tries. Cueto and Ashton both scored hat-tricks! France actually started well against New Zealand but one mistake led to their collapse! New Zealand never looked back after that and won the game after about 20-30 minutes... |
