Finally!

What a ridiculous Prime Minister he was. How can you govern your country at the same time as being a president of a football club and head a media empire? His comments he made were ridiculous and his behaviour with bunga-bunga parties were clearly not right for a Prime Minister :| He's ruining Italy with his policies and it's great to hear he's finally leaving.

His comments about the Obama's were hysterical to be fair, "Hey, I like your tan" :ohdear

Well BBC News made a list of some, so see here. Admittedly some of them are funny  , but not what you expect from a Prime Minister.

It was just a general question Chris, I'm assuming Hugh was trying to say that he is smart to quit while she isn't.......

Berlusconi has officially gone! The Italian President is holding a series of meetings all day, but the favourite for the top job appears to be Mario Monti - according to the media anyway.

Just like with Greece with their new non-elected Prime Minister - is it right that non-elected officials can suddenly have these top positions? Surely not democratic

well yeah, along those lines actually! :)

And Chris, in these times of crisis, yes it is right that these (hopefully) better leaders are thrust into powerful positions. Democracy really isn't compatible with a lot of the world's problems.
