This autumn, we've read about each other's realtionships to the clubs that stands close to our hearts. Through five months I've got the honour to talk to loyal supporters from each side of the earth. I can not believe it took us six years to come up with this idea. So much exciting have been told, that we never knew about each other! We're all great fans. Now we'll make a tribute to our self, by reading every bit again. Then we'll make a tribute to the best of the best. The rules are: After you have read all the interviews and made your impressions, you are going to vote in the different categories below. Everyone can join in, even the ones who haven't been interviewed. The ones who have been interviewed, who DON'T leave their votes, will be automatically be disqualified. You vote in the differnet categories, and I'd be happy to see justifications. The heaviest award, the best fan of TC2, will be voted on by PM. This is to save the thrill to the final day. Deadline is December 27th. The winner will be announced on New Years Eve. The candidats: Kevin Galvin (Kev), Cork City (Born to save Cork City) "I helped save my club from extinction!" Chris Eastwood (TC Admin), Chelsea (The European Champions dream) "Well, I'll never stop supporting them and I follow them every day, so I think I'm quite dedicated!" Alle (ligue1marseille), Marseille and NY Red Bulls (Allez Marseille!) "You know, it takes guts supporting a team across the pond - especially one that isn't shown on TV much like Marseille is. I have to sit in front of the computer screen on most weekends to watch these guys play thanks to Justin.tv, which I discovered just before the 2009-2010 season. And if I'm not watching them, I'm following them thanks to the L'EQUIPE and Livescore apps on my phone. Even though I'm far away, OM is always one touch away. That's why I'm the best fan on TC2" Jake Collinson (JakeSAFC), Sunderland (Jake's comeback) "Well, i'm from the North-East of England. That's why, nah in all seriousness I'm really not sure. One reason i suppose was not giving up on the team no matter what, whenever they kept getting relegated, i believed they'd get promoted." Hugh (Hugh), Manchester Utd, Syndey and Getafe (A triangular heart) "It's tough because I don't want to take anything away from the other guys. But probably just being able to manage my support for 3 teams, who I love equally and as much as any other, when the emotional ride for supporting 1 is bad enough!" Dominic Anger (el bandit), Chelsea (-I would love to work for Chelsea) "I guess its the fact that I watch every game, and just feel every emotion that the club feels. Now sure that might go for most fans, but my connection with Chelsea is something i really cannot explain! My room is decorated with Chelsea memorabilia. I try and carry on a tradtition to get the new jersey every year, and purchase the membership, though it does not have many perks for me being in the States, compared to me living in England. Many people here in the US know of clubs and have a favorite team, just because they are winning, but I am one of the few that can go into detail about Chelsea and their history. The fact that I put everything aside to make sure I catch Chelsea play, shows that my blood bleeds blue, through and through!" Daniel Da Mata (Nuno), Benfica (-Benfica is my blood team!) Snorre Thomassen (Snorre), Bodø/Glimt (-It's really not okey) "Because I experience 75% adversity with a club that goes up and down, but I keep following them! Bodø/Glimt in my heart!" John Jacques (John), Toronto (-I'll kill for my team) "The best fan? I'll kill for my team. You wanna challenge that? Really? I'm getting my knife." "Chris Moore" (ynwa), Liverpool (-I knew picking the right team would come through thick and thin) "I love everything about Liverpool, from the jerseys to their style of play and I even love being a Liverpool fan; being on other football forums with other Liverpool fans sharing our ideas and sharing our predictions and ingame thoughts is what makes me the best fan on TC2!" Edward Dyer (Lee Vilenski), Yeovil Town (Yeovil's lost son) "Well, I'm clearly not. I don't remember every single result. Heck, I don't remember any really. I don't remember players names, I don't have plans on how to make my team better, and I certainly don't have any idea who should be in charge of all of this. Maybe... I'm the best fan, because I put the effort in to be at matches when we are doing badly, well, or somewhere in between, or maybe it's down to the simple reason that I enjoy watching the Glovers play. Hard to choose as obviously no-one would do this, but Kev seems like quite a die-hard fan. Who's his side's travel suitcase? Kev. Travels all over Ireland despite being young and not really having the money. Honorary mention to Marius here. Who's the best armchair fan? Bandit. Even though he admitted he hasn't seen Chelsea for three weeks on facebook earlier, he watches Chelsea when he can and his knowledge of them is quite impressive. He's clearly been watching alot and follows everything about us from results to transfer targets... Who's the best distance supporter (ligue, Nuno, Hugh, el bandit)? I wish I could give you all the award but I'll go for Hugh. Gets up in the early hours to watch GETAFE - wow. Who has the "coolest" routine when watching his team? Alle's flag thing is quite cool. Who's most likely to skip a date with a hottie for watching his team? Tough one but I'll go for Marius - he often doesn't have money to see Cathrine because he doesn't have any - but then goes to see Rosenborg after... Secondly, cause I don't really get how to judge some of the categories. (maybe it's just me...) Who's most likely to kill for his team?: John, for reasons stated above. He seems like he has it in him. Who's his side's travel suitcase? Marius and Rosenborg, sleeping in a gas station wins it right there. Who's the best armchair fan? Kind of hard to judge here. how can you be a better armchair fan than someone else? I'll say Moore. Who's the best distance supporter (ligue, Nuno, Hugh, el bandit)? Nuno here, cause I know how it feels to travel the world just to see your team. Who has the "coolest" routine when watching his team? Ligue for sure.
