Well I'm going to be voting for a independent candidate in my constituency.

Fair play. How come? It's a shame independents don't do that well. I think in the Australian parliament there's like 6 independents, and the government has to rely on them to get certain bills through...

I've never been a conservative voter, Labour have lost my support over the last few years. Like hell I'm I voting for the BNP and UKIP representatives, the independent candidate is a one I have spoken with on many occasions, whilst he has ran many protests in Sunderland.

He ran the "Save the Sunderland Fire Station" protest, which was successful.
He also ran the "Save Sunderland Libraries", which wasn't as successful as 3 out of the 7 that were to close, actually did shut down.

I just feel that out of my personal life, to see someone have that much dedication to something and see him succeed at it as well, he has my support. As you can tell, he heavily opposes the cuts. He is an independent candidate, but he is affiliated with TUSC.

Can't argue with that. You've spoken to him a few times?

Well, considering we've got a government that no one voted for right now, and it looks as though indecision is going to recreate that.

It's very hard to put any faith in anyone right now, as everyone looks more dodgy than the last.

Well, considering we've got a government that no one voted for right now
59.1% of people voted for the Conservatives and Liberal Democrats in 2010. Labour had 29% of the vote, with the next highest being UKIP on an amazing 3.1%. Conservatives got 10.7m+ votes nationwide, whereas the Lib Dems got 6.8m+. Hardly a government "no one voted for"!

Not one single person voted for a coalition, did they? Those people who wanted a Conservative government clearly weren't the majority, and those who wanted a Lib Dem government were clearly in a minority, and also didn't get what they wanted, because everything Lib Dem has been watered down in the last 5 years.

So we either get a

Tory/UKIP led coalition

or a

Labour/SNP led coalition in this next government.

I can't imagine a single person who looks at that, and goes 'YEP, that's what I want!'

I'm sure many UKIP voters would love to have their influence in government (even though UKIP themselves said they wouldn't). SNP voters would relish having the balance of power to try and get as many concessions as they can for Scotland!

If it's anything like the Lib Dem's, it'll be a case of them making up the numbers.

That's what coalitions are about I suppose, everyone wants to govern by themselves but sometimes it's not possible!

A Tory/UKIP government for the UK would spell disaster for the most part, I don't believe that coalition would work because the Tories think that UKIP are too extreme towards the working class.

With Trident dominating headlines, its amazing to see the different stances.

SNP obviously wanting nothing to do with Trident - which is a stupid decision if you ask me -, Labour apparently want to keep it, whilst others are suggest Labour may put it at risk.

It is an interesting topic Trident, in my eyes its a must have for our country. Polls currently tied 33% for Conservatives and Labour - still undecided where my vote will go.
