Trident is interesting. Obviously we'd all like to see a world without nuclear weapons, but unless other countries get rid of theirs, why should we? It's important to keep our deterrent.

Having said that, they cost a lot and I doubt we'll ever use our nuclear weapons. Money could be better spent anywhere.

I like the idea of having a deterrent and despite the cost, I think I'll always be in favour of having it. I don't mind the proposals by the Lib Dems (and Labour) in looking at reducing our submarines from 4 to 3, though. A step towards getting rid of them but not a big step.

I don't think we should give up Trident, A world without nuclear wepons now and forever possibly is just a pipedream.

Alex Salmond (former SNP leader?) has said that the result of this coming election, could lead to a referendum on Scottish Independence.

I hope there's not another referendum. They just had one. They also said it'll be the last one for a generation...

Rangers then. Rangers now. Rangers forever.

The problem with the SNP is they will not accept that Scotland voted No. They will always push for it no matter what.

I was thinking voting Labour is the one way to rid of them, but even at that, they seem to be wanting to work together.

I've been speaking candidly with the main TUSC leader in Sunderland recently, even talk of me running in a future election for them.

That's pretty cool! How come you're in contact with them so much, do they live near you or you're friends with them, or something?

Very true, Cammy. I guess voting Labour is the best thing to do if you're a unionist up there (or Lib Dem)...

It doesn't really feel like an election is on. Just feels like they've been talking about politics since January 2nd.

I really hope so. I follow politics a lot but even I'm getting a little bored now. Maybe the Question Time thing on Thursday will be decent.

They all didn't do that badly. Cameron was sweating a lot and Miliband stumbled, but I hope that's not what people remember. I thought Clegg did well actually, but I think I'm biased on that one as he was the most pro-European of them all and I agree with that.

Russell Brand is now backing Labour after saying 'don't vote for anyone' for ages.
